Make Up For Ever Holodiam Powder

MAKE UP FOR EVER Holodiam Powder in 302

Hi, loves!  Today I have such a fun product to review and demo: the MUFE Holodiam powder in 302.  These came out recently for the holidays.  They are described as pearlescent holographic powders/pearls/pigments (there are many descriptions online!)  I have the color 302.  I wish I had more, but they're pretty expensive in my opinion.  Anyways, I'm so impressed with the quality and the look of this product!

302 is described as: "A plum with purple, pink, and turquoise highlights."  I agree with that description, but I've also seen it look brown, blue and even green under some lighting.  It's beautiful!  The holographic effect is very strong.  It transforms into so many different colors. It's something that is best appreciated in person so I'm sorry if my pictures don't capture it accurately.

The powder is very finely milled.  MUFE states it will transform depending on what you put under it.  Here are some combinations:
Left to Right:  302 on its own, 302 over MAC's Mixing Medium, 302 over black eyeshadow with Mixing Medium, 302 over green eyeshadow, 302 over purple eyeshadow with Mixing Medium

As you can see, it really does transform!  It's so beautiful in person (I keep gushing!) I do suggest applying it wet, with a glitter adhesive, or over something creamy so it sticks better. Here's a picture with it on over brown eyeshadow:
On my lips and cheeks: Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Rose

Hope you enjoyed this post! :)

  14. That's gorgeous. I was looking at these last time I was at Sephora's store during the VIB sale but I decided not to get them hoping to find something similar for cheaper.

    1. Haha, I picked it up at the sale just because it was 20% off. :) I wouldn't get another one though (even though I'd like to) because I agree they are too expensive. xx

  20. Oh wow this is so pretty! It looks perfect for the party season, but sadly getting lots of presents is leaving me rather low on cash to buy make-up :(

Do you happen to know if there is still a Make-up forever shop in or around Covent Garden in London? I'm sure someone told me there is one near there?
