e.l.f. Pink Passion Blush and FOTD

Hi, lovelies.  Today I have an e.l.f. review.  I haven't tried much from e.l.f. except the HD Studio Blushes which I reviewed here.  Pink Passion is a super bright cool toned pink.  It's part of their Studio line.  I love vibrant colors like this because they suit everyone (in my opinion).  If you're fair you can use a light hand and the color will look naturally beautiful.  If you have darker skin the contrast will really make your cheeks pop.  Here's an overview of the blush:
  • Gorgeous bright pink color
  • Very pigmented, color payoff is true to pan
  • The texture is slightly dry and powdery, but still blendable
  • Very affordable ($3)
  • Fades a bit quickly (I only got about 2 hours of wear)
  • I like the packaging.  It seems really sturdy except for the plastic window which looks like it might fall out
The color selection for the Studio Blushes is really nice, they are pigmented, and super affordable.  I did notice that the texture isn't as nice as my other blushes but that's not a big deal.  It doesn't go patchy or anything, it simply doesn't feel as silky (which is something I can overlook).  The only thing that is a real negative for me is that it doesn't wear long and I don't like having to reapply my blush throughout the night.

All in all, the positives outweigh the negative.  You could even get this for $1.50 since e.l.f. has half off discounts regularly. This blush is a great value for the money and I want more e.l.f. products in the future. Definitely recommend this! Here's a Face of the Day wearing Pink Passion:

Concealer - Revlon PhotoReady in "Light Medium"
Bronzer - Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
Powder - MAC Studio Fix in "C4"

EYES:
Primer - Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Purple Eyeshadows - Wet 'n' Wild "Petal Pusher" Palette
Black Eyeshadow - Urban Decay "Black Dog"
Black Eyeliner - Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in "Zero"

  1. So pretty! doesn't look as bright on the skin as it does on the pan, which is good because then it's a bit hard to blend : ) Looks lovely on you Coco!!! Love your eye makeup too, purple looks amaizing on us brown-eyed girls, no? hehe xx

  6. That purple shadow is really nice!

I prefer that my blushes last long, so I think this will be a purchase skipped... Though, the color looks really nice. Thanks for the review!

  11. i just bought more than half of the studio line blushes but i have had pink passion for a while now. i almost never wear it because i feel like it is so bright and pigmented but it looks really pretty on you. i couldn't have said it better myself as far as the whole review goes, however. i will be putting up my whole review on all (6 or 7) blushes if you wanna check it out soon enough. maybe i should try this one again before i do so. the other blushes aren't as chalky but then again, they aren't matte either. thank you for the inspiration! i love when you stumble upon a blog that is using something you have but never really wear. it breathes a whole new life onto the product!

      mindbodybeauty.blogspot.com

and i am still testing out all of the blushes but i will tell you my favorites have been giddy gold (a shimmery, true gold color! its different than anything i have) and mellow mauve (so silky! and more of a satin finish)

    2. But it looks amazing!! Do you use any editing program/photoshop?

      Delete
    3. Yes, what I do is always sharpen every image so it isn't as blurry. Also, I play around with the little square that focuses the image on the iPhone. And I try to take my pictures in natural daylight because pictures taken in artificial lighting on phones tend to be grainy. xxx
