Most Used: Eye Brushes

MAC 224:  Since I have small eyes, this brush is too big for detail work or applying crease colors. However, it's amazing at blending in general so I use it all over the eye or near the brow bone. It's also good for concealer.

MAC 217:  My favorite eye brush by far. It's super soft and the shape makes it a great multi-tasker. I use it mostly for blending on the crease.

Sephora Bent Eyeliner:  This is my favorite brush for cream or gel liner.  It's great quality. I've been using it for years. It's still soft and has retained its shape even after using it with hard to remove liners.

Sephora Rounded Smudge:  This one is stiff and dense. The bristles are very soft so it's great for smudging liner or eyeshadow on the upper and lower lash line.

Real Techniques Shader:  Amazing brush! Really soft and great for multitasking. I use it to apply eyeshadow on the lid.

Essence of Beauty Angled:  I got this from a kit at the drugstore years ago. It was really cheap. I have yet to find another angled brush that I love as much as this one. It has the perfect softness and density that I like for filling in my brows and applying eyeshadow to the lash line.

If I had to pick my top 2 they would be: the MAC 217 and the Real Techniques Shader brush.
I own two RT Shader brushes and would like three or four. It seems exaggerated and hoarder-like, but they get so much use. Washing them gets a little tedious because if I use different colors or dark eyeshadows I have to wash them every day.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Happy Friday and have a nice weekend, lovelies! Please share your favorite eye brushes. I love getting new brushes because it makes brush-washing less frequent. :)

  2. I love Essence of Beauty brushes! My sister bought a pack of them a few years ago - she no longer uses them so they have fallen into my hands, haha. I guess the point is that those brushes are top-notch in quality and price :)

I just got a set of Real Techniques eye brushes in the mail yesterday, I love how their bristles are super soft.

    1. Hahaha, understandable. I use it every time I do my make up and washing it so often is starting to get annoying. xx

  12. OMG! I couldn't agree more! I'd totally have 10 of the RT shader brushes just so I don't have to wash them every time I change colours LOL I also have two and never touched my other brushes ever since. In fact all I ever use these days are my RT brushes. I really wished Sam would come out with an advanced eye set and then my life would be complete hehe xx

  21. I've tried the mac eyeshadow brushes before and they perform so well. But a good dupe is also the e.l.f. studio C eye shadow brush. Just purchased a pair and they are very soft.
