Review: NYX Cream Blush in Natural

Hello, lovelies! Today I'm reviewing the NYX Cream Blush in Natural. I love cream blushers, I actually prefer them over powders. When I posted a review on the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouges, I got asked how high-end cream formulas compare to drugstore ones. I hadn't tried any drugstore cream blushes so I went out and bought some NYX and Revlon. I'm still trying out the Revlon blush. I also plan on doing a comparison post featuring all my cream blushes in the future.

Formula
"Natural" feels very creamy but slightly on the thicker side. Thinner blushes are usually easier to blend.

Longevity
It lasts fairly long on my face and sets nicely. No complaints here.

Color
It's a beautiful rosy pink that leans toward the cool-toned side. I absolutely love the color and how it looks on my skin. It's pigmented so you only need small amounts.

Overall: It's not my favorite cream formula. I've used others that are less sticky, blend more effortlessly, and last longer. However, it is by no means a bad product. It's very affordable and looks great on the skin, but since I have other formulas I like better I don't think I'll be repurchasing.

  2. I've been thinking about NYX Natural, and I wasn't expecting it to look so pink! I actually prefer the way it looks in the pan- I've got a local Australian brand's cream blush that's similar, so I might give this a miss! Thank you so much for the review, it looks lovely on you! :)

  3. I agree on the sticky comment, but I do love this cream blusher, but wouldn't be my favourite. It works really well as a lip colour too on top of some lip balm!

  7. I heard cream blushes are very inconsistent, hence I havent tried it yet. It does look great on you! I love your eyes, so sultry!

  8. I also prefer cream blushes over powder ones as I have got dry skin, though I haven't ever tried one out, it just sounds better for my skin type. Rouge is a lovely colour but I don't think I'll be purchasing it as you mentioned that it doesn't blend effortlessly! Thanks for reviewing! xo

    p.s: love your eye makeup!

  10. Hi just found your blog! I'm really interested in trying the nix cream blushes, so this review was really helpful for me :) I think the colour is lovely and really versatile to wear! The only thing that would discourage me from buying it is probably the formula, like as you said its on the thicker side. However you get what you pay for, so to wear now and again would be fine :)

Great post! Feel free to check out my blog if you'd like, recently done a MAC/Haul review if you interested!

  15. Such a lovely blush color against your skin!! I always get so nervous with cream blushes though because I feel like they'll make me break out... it's probably a stupid fear that'll never happen but I can't seem to get over it haha.

    1. Haha, I used to be that way with foundation. I thought it was the worst thing you could do to your skin. I have never broken out from a foundation after a year of using them :P

  21. Hi,
I have this nyx creme blush in rose petal, it's great and so natural, I find that if I use nyx blush in mauve(just because it's nearly the same color of the cream blush) it lasts all day!!!

  27. I took a while to get into cream blushes but now I prefer how much more natural they look!

  28. I have 3 NYX cream blushes and I personally don't like them. The main turn off was that the formula is a bit too glossy for my cheeks.

  29. I really love this colour though I agree it is a bit sticky and hard to blend well. I tend to favour powder blushes as they're easier to work with but the colour is gorgeous on you!

  30. I have a couple of the NYX cream blushes but don't give them enough love... this colour is beautiful, might have to pull mine out this week and give them another shot :) xx

  31. This is beautiful :) I adore cream blushes as I prefer a dewy finish and they go fantastically with my foundation! I wish NYX was more easily accessible in the UK, I never see them! x

  32. I have had like four NYX cream blushes on my wishlist for forever but never got around to purchasing them. I have combination/oily skin so I wasn't sure how they would work for me. I think in the blush department I'm going to stick to powders for now : / Thanks for the review Coco xx

  34. Gorgeous shade of pink! >w<
Looks gorgeous on you - I prefer lighter make-ups, rather than thick, so I don't usually choose creams over powders, but the colour is definitely more cutesy, I guess!
