Hi, beauties! Here's a quick review on a very hyped-up product: the Maybelline Color Whisper lipstick. I got the color A Plum Prospect and it's very lovely. Balm-type lipsticks are very popular right now. Out of all the ones I've tried, this one has the thinnest consistency. It's very smooth and comfortable to wear. Almost as balm-y as the Maybelline Baby Lips. A Plum Prospect isn't opaque but it builds up nicely. It does settle a bit into my lip lines (as you can see in the lip swatch) but other than that, I think the formula is great. Also, the packaging for the Color Whispers is really adorable. I'm not sure if I would purchase other shades because I have many balm-y lipsticks and I prefer the more opaque ones (like the Revlon Lip Butters) but if I see a really unique color then I will definitely repurchase.

DeleteI have a few of the Color Whisper shades and this one might need to join my collection! Its really pretty, I love plum lipsticks and this one is just soft enough to wear without looking vampy. It looks great on you!

I really didn't like these, they were way too sheer for me :/

ReplyDeleteThese do look a lot like the Revlon Lip Butters - with those I found some shades more transparent than others too. I like these kinds of products for daytime as they are just so easy to wear.

Kind of meh about this. You probably know that I'm huge on pigmentation and I'm not huge on the slippery feel that this looks like it would have. But I'm probably wrong and will most likely love it when I go swatch it :)
