Hello, lovelies! I'm finally posting a makeup look! These are my favorite type of posts to do but, like I've said before, I have technical difficulties when photographing them. This is a shimmery and very girly look for Valentine's Day (or any occasion). I would love to post two Valentine's looks: one for daytime and one for nighttime (this one being the daytime look). I hope I have time to make a post for the nighttime look. It seems like all my exams are suddenly creeping up on me.
Eye Makeup
Step 1. I applied MAC Let's Skate Paint Pot (review) as a base. I used a very light layer and blended it with my fingers.
Step 2. Using a Real Technique's Shading Brush I applied the purple crease color from the Wet'n'Wild Petal Pusher Palette to my lid (avoiding the center). With an angled brush I also brought the color down my lower lashline. Using a MAC 217 Brush I blended the color on my crease.
Step 3. I added NYX Princess Pink Eyeshadow on the center of my lid. I highlighted my inner corners with the eyelid color from the Petal Pusher Palette. I highlighted my brow bone using Wet'n'Wild Brulee (review).
Step 4. Using an angled brush, I pushed a dark purple eyeshadow (Urban Decay Jet) along my top lashline. Then I curled my lashes and added my favorite mascara: Tarina Tarantino's Fleur de Lash Faceted Mascara. I also put Rimmel ScandalEyes Eye Pencil in Nude on my waterline (forgot to photograph it).
Face Makeup
I usually don't wear a foundation primer because I feel like I don't need it and don't want to add steps to my (already lengthy) makeup routine. However, L'Oreal True Match Lumi (review) doesn't have a great staying power so applied Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer under it. I concealed my under eyes with Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer in 53. I set my foundation with Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. I used Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer to contour my face and Milani Dolce Pink Blush on my cheeks. My lipstick was NYX's Thalia.
Hope you enjoyed this picture-heavy, heart filled post. :) Typically I would wear false lashes with this look but I haven't bought lashes in months! I always forget somehow.

I love your lashes! Let's Skate on the eye looks very pretty, and I love how you avoided the center of your lid to make the pink show up. As much as I like putting colors on the center of my lid, I never thought about that to make the color pop a little more haha.
ReplyDeleteI like how you added the bit of pink to your lids. It makes it so much more beautiful. Perfect look for valentines day
ReplyDelete❤❤❤

ReplyDeleteYou look very very sweet, and I really like that you are not wearing falsies, your lashes are amazing and I get the feeling that boys dont like false eyelashes too much, I'd skip that for valentines day :)
ReplyDeletebesos xx
Thank you! Haha, I've worn falsies for Valentine's Day before but they were the individual ones that look very natural (but take forever to apply) x
