Tarina Tarantino Jewel Shadow Palettes - Dream Palette ($32)
I was hesitant about posting a review on this product because currently you cannot buy Tarina Tarantino products anywhere. Tarina Tarantino Cosmetics used to be sold at Sephora up until last year. However, they will be sold on the Tarina Tarantino official website as of February 7th, 2013! I'm so glad because the makeup line is lovely and the packaging is adorable. Their Fleur de Lash Faceted mascara is one of my favorites and it gets featured on many of my FOTDs. I definitely plan to make a purchase once the line relaunches next week. Anyways, onto the review and swatches of the Tarina Tarantino Dream Palette.
- The texture is buttery soft and easy to blend. They feel like luxury eyeshadows.
- They are very pigmented.
- The eyeshadows last a long time on the eyes
- The palette is very pretty and travel friendly
Cons
- There are no negatives quality-wise, but I wish there was a matte color. The color selection includes glitter and metallics which means that only using the colors in this palette can lead to a shimmer overload.
My favorite shades (and the ones I think are the most unique) are the coppery orange and the blackened brown with gold glitter. In Look 1 you can see the dimension of the glitter, it reflects many different colors. I was also using the brown/black eyeshadow in this post.
Have any of you tried any Tarina Tarantino products before? Did you get any from the clearance sale when the line was exiting Sephora?

Great post - love the colours x

They look so gorgeous, and the way you've applied them looks amazing. I know what you mean though, when they're all metalics/glitter it makes it a more of an evening wear product!xxx
ReplyDeletethis looks gorgeous! Love look one so pretty xxx
ReplyDeleteI will need to find a dupe for that ambery-"light rust" shade (I suck at descriptions lol!) - But.. MAC Aztec Brick and Amber Lights looks pretty similar, if not then the Rushmetal Pigment. (I'm just judging from Karla Sugar and Temptalia swatches!) But *sigh* why Sephora, are you not carrying TT anymore?!? I haven't had a chance to even swatch them!! :'(
ReplyDeleteI know :( But hopefully the Tarina Tarantino website will deliver internationally xx
DeleteThe palette sure looks lovely, but it's bit steep for my budget. Look nº1 is so pretty, the eyeshadow quality seems to be really great and I love glitter ^^ Thanks for the review Coco xx

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh this is like my ideal palette - I wonder if the shipping to Australia from the Tarina Tarantino website is still as horrific as it was a few years back?! xx

Oh my, that eye make up looks incredible!

I'm the same way with palettes, I need at least one matte shade to balance out the textures and not look too glittery.
ReplyDeleteThese look so so pretty. I love the looks you came up with for this palette. I almost picked up the blush palette(dunno the name) Tarina Tarantino had but for whatever dumb reason I opted to get NARS Orgasm instead.
