Here are a few things I've been loving recently. I think I'm going to start doing this type of post instead of monthly favorites because at the end of the month I always forget what most of my favorites were. I'd also really love to know what you're loving recently, tell me in the comments!
01. L'Oreal True Match Lumi + Laura Mercier Oil Free Primer: When I reviewed the L'Oreal True Match Lumi (review) a while back I said that the only things I would improve about it were the staying power and the sitting on top of the skin thing. I never use face primers because I feel like my other foundations don't need it and I don't like to add more steps (or products) to my makeup routine, BUT the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer is brilliant paired with True Match Lumi. It extends the wear and makes it look more natural upclose. The foundation adheres to the primer instead of sitting on top.
02. L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream (review): Another L'Oreal face product! Like I said in my review, this doesn't have any real Blemish Balm properties but it's an amazing tinted moisturizer. It gives me enough coverage and sets matte so I don't have to worry about transferring.
03. Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer (shade 53): I got this from my swap with Sandra and I know I'll be gutted when I use it all up. This and the Collection Lasting Perfection have been my two go-to concealers. I actually think I like this better than the Lasting Perfection because it blends a bit easier and smells nice.
04. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush: I always loved using this brush for highlighters and bronzers (contouring), but I recently tried it with cream blushes and really liked it! I used to apply my cream blushes exclusively with stippling brushes but this is a great alternative.
05. MAC Let's Skate Pro Longwear Paint Pot (review): I've been using this so much since I got it! The glitter somehow reminds me of a snow fairy. It's really pretty and delicate. Since the shimmer is so fine I find it very appropriate for daytime.
06. fresh Sugar Lip Treatments: I got these for free from Sephora back in December (as my complementary birthday gift). I'm glad because I would have never picked them out myself (I think $22 is too much for a lip balm). I get the hype around these now. They moisturize and restore my lips really well and smell delicious.
07. Pepperidge Farm Brussels: (Not sponsored by Pepperidge Farm, although I wouldn't mind monthly boxes of these.) I'm addicted to Brussels! I think they are the most delicious mass produced cookie you can get at the supermarket. Sorry, Oreos! (So random, I know.)
08. Blogs I've Been Loving: Like I always say, you can check my sidebar or my blogroll to see blogs I frequent. Here are some recent loves: Makeup and Skincare Spot, Thrift Thick, Lipstick and Ponytails, Fairytales and Coffee, and Clear The Way.

Let's Skate looks amazing! I hate how some Paint Pots aren't really soft and creamy but I will have to check this one out just because the color is so cute! The lip balms look very cute! My mom has a set from Sephora as well so I will have to a) get her to use them or b) steal them away :D xx
ReplyDeleteHahaha, steal them for a bit to see if you like them xx
DeleteAwww love your picks Coco! I love my Expert Face Brush.. but I use mine for foundation, I've not thought to use it for contouring but I think I will have to try it. I love love love the look of Let's Skate.. and I am yearning for Vintage Selection, they are both so beautiful :) xxx
ReplyDeleteVintage Selection is so beautiful as well. I wouldn't mind owning it. I've used the expert face brush for foundation before. It gives a really nice full coverage finish xx
Deleteouh amazing products :) i personally luv Bourjois healthy mix !
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love how you included dessert ;) I really like the Fresh Sugar lip treatments as well, though I agree that it's pricy for a lip balm.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to mix it up a bit, haha xx
DeleteSuch a great post! I live in Brussels, that's funny they make cookies with that name haha! I'm really tempted with that L'oreal BB cream :) xx
ReplyDeleteHahaha, the cookies are great. Would love to visit Brussels xx
DeleteGreat post! All look like really good products x

I love the Bourjois concealer! It can sometimes be a bit cakey when I use it under my eyes but overall it's better than the much raved Collection Lasting Perfection. Really need to get some of those Fresh treatments. Think I need to visit America soon!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.la-vida-fresa.com/ xo
I hope you do visit :) It's on the thick side, I agree, but it has great coverage xx
DeleteI love the real techniques brushes too, this is one of my favourites! I really want to try the Bourjois concealer as I have heard so much about it! xxx

LOL the same happens to me which is why I created a beauty journal so I can keep track of what I used/liked the most during the current month ^^ I keep hearing nothing but amazing things about Bourjois and I'd love to try their products but haven't found a site yet that carries them and that ships internationally : / I would totally feature my RT brushes monthly, they're the best brushes ever! OMG the cookies! I love those, they cost an arm and a leg here, but they're really good : ) xx
ReplyDeleteYes! I would feature RT brushes monthly because they are basically all I use. I've only been able to try Bourjois thanks to my swap because I'm having the same problem as you with shipping xx
DeleteI wish I had normal and not oily skin, I love the look of L'Oreal Lumi but it wouldn't stay put on my skin :(
ReplyDeleteI wish I could try out the Lumi foundation but I think my skin is too oily! Great collection though...wish I could get Bourjois where I live :( I have heard great things about this line!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this post. You take the pretties pictures! Great products as well! xx
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much <3
DeleteI really want to try Let's Skate - it looks lovely xx
ReplyDeleteSUCH a great round up of products Coco!! I've been loving sooo many things this month... I just filmed my monthly video on it so definitely take a peek in a few days if you're interested :) And I COMPLETELY agree with you on those Brussels cookies; the place I worked in college always had them around and I couldn't control myself around them!

Nice post! I love the LOreal BB cream too, it's one of those products that I didn't expect much from, but actually really like it in the long run! And I really want to try the Let's Skate paint pot, I have a few paint pots but not this color, and it looks so pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat selection! Glad you're loving the LM Primer so much- gotta love when a product like that really improves a foundation that was otherwise just so-so. And gosh, you're really making me want Let's Skate (and those cookies :))!

I used a couple of these products this morning. I just finished my 3rd Fresh Sugar lip balm this year! I love them. I live in Alaska so my lips are always dry, but these are a miracle.

Glad you love them too xx
DeleteI haven't tried any of these products, but really should buy the expert face brush! I wouldn't mind trying the Healthy Mix concealer, because I really love the foundation.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review of the Laura Mercier Primer. That brush sounds great, too. I have the hardest time ever with cream blushes.
ReplyDeleteHELLO LINK! Thanks so much for sending some love my way. You made my day.
Kate from Clear the Way

Ah, just ordered myself the Real Techniques Expert Face brush! And haha, I never keep track of my favorites either which makes it so hard to get a favorites post up, so this is a great idea! I have the L'Oreal Magic Lumi so I wonder how different the two are! Totally agree with you about the Fresh Lips. Amazing stuff but not worth a twenty bill and two singles. I'll stick with a Baby Lips! xx

The Mod Mermaid
Yeah, I wouldn't purchase them myself because they're so pricey! And the Baby Lips are so yummy. I hope you love the Expert Face brush x
DeleteI wanna try all of these things!! I've heard others say great things about them too. I'm definitely swatching Let's Skate next time I go near a MAC store.
ReplyDeleteso weird! i was just looking at that brush on ulta.com! i really wanna try it! <3 erica

I've been debating on trying the real techniques brushes, but I've read so many mixed reviews! I think I need to just get one and try it out!
ReplyDeleteSarahSee. Beauty
I honestly think they're the best synthetic brushes for the price. Along with EcoTools x
DeleteI love that Bourjois concealer! I even used it today lol. I've been meaning to get the Expert Face brush for a while, and I really want to try the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments! Glad they're working for you. :) xx
ReplyDeleteI'm also loving the real techniques expert face brush.
ReplyDeleteLove the RT brushes, they're amazing. I really want to try the Laura Mercier primer aswell x
ReplyDeleteAww thanks for the mention :) You know as much as I love my duane reade deelish mass produced cookies, I am pretty sure that's a sponsor I would not care to have since I would like to fit into my clothes. :)
ReplyDeletePS - so strange, I thought I left a comment yesterday but it never posted.
Hahaha, that's a good point x
DeleteI just got Real Techniques buffing brush and oh my! I don't know how I lived without it?!
ReplyDeleteYou are loving great stuff
ReplyDeletehave to agree! I absolutely love the Fresh lip conditioners even though they are super pricy! The Laura Mercier primer is awesome too! I also like this La Roche Posay primer too, it is a little more mattifying.
