1st Experience: Inglot Eyeshadows

Colors from left to right: 369, 426, 338
Disclaimer: Products mentioned in this post were purchased by me.
Hello, lovelies! I was very very excited to finally be able to try out some Inglot eyeshadows this month. Inglot eyeshadows get a lot of praise online for being quality eyeshadows with a high-end feel. Inglot products aren't that easy to find, and although I could have always ordered online, I prefer being able to swatch products in person when buying from a new brand. Anyways, I recently went to an Inglot store and had a swatch fest! It was very hard to choose colors because there were many lovely shades. I decided to skip the neutrals because, although they had a nice selection, I own too many. I thought their colorful matte eyeshadows were more unique and not something every brand makes so that's what I chose.
Colors
369: Is a periwinkle/cornflower blue that is hard to pick up on camera. It's really pigmented and has a great texture. It's soft and easy to blend. It has a matte finish.
426: Is a pearl, shimmery royal blue. This wasn't my first choice and I'm actually disappointed with this one. I originally wanted #428 but it was sold out. #428 is very similar to MAC's Deep Truth. #426 is lighter. It's not as opaque as the other two colors. It needs a lot of layering to get true-to-pan payoff.
338: Is a matte teal. I find this color to be quite unique (for an eyeshadow). It also has a really nice texture.
Freedom Palette
I considered only getting the eyeshadow pans because I have a lot of palettes already, but I wanted to see what the quality of the Inglot eyeshadow palettes was like. Inglot eyeshadow pans cost $6 per eyeshadow. I believe that if you buy a palette plus the eyeshadows you save some money (at least that's what was advertised on the store). I chose the 3-eyeshadow palette. I also accidentally made an all-blue palette, haha. The Inglot palettes are really sturdy. The glass lids are very thick and the magnets are very strong. They are heavy (which is a downside) but they feel strong.
Quality
I was really impressed with the quality and texture of their eyeshadows. Although there are some misses and some colors that I would skip. I suggest going to a store (if you can) and going swatch-crazy because you'll notice right away which ones are subpar. If you already have your own palettes and only buy the single pans, the eyeshadows turn out to be quite affordable (only a dollar more than NYX eyeshadows). Even if you make your own palette, they're still cheaper than MAC eyeshadows and have comparable quality.
Overall
I'm really impressed with Inglot eyeshadows! They have really nice textures, very smooth matte eyeshadows, and very unique colors. I must stress that although most of them seemed good, there were some disappointing shades. Sadly, their stores aren't very widely available but I suggest looking up some reviews online or swatching them in person so you don't pick up a "bad" shade. I am thinking of getting some more colors so please let me know what your Inglot experience has been like. I'd also love some shade suggestions. :)

  4. I like the shade in the middle! I've always seen Inglot counters in Macys (I think?) but never really bothered to check it out. Somehow Inglot never really appealed to me, but I think I'll stop by a counter, next time~

    1. Hopefully one day! :) Or maybe you'll brave ordering online blindly although I don't know if their international shipping is fair or outrageously pricey x

  12. INGLOT <3
They have amazing pigmentation and a great selection. I will agree with you on the fact that some are def. not as good as other (the pastel shades take so much building up!) I have a duo that I love to pieces and it's my favorite palette. There's something so nice about being to create your own palette. I love the colors you chose and you're very brave for not running to the neutrals (cause they're GORGEOUS!) Can't wait to see what you do with these shadows :)

  14. I love Inglot, the shadows are so creamy! I'll have to look at my pallet to give you shade suggestions. That is the only thing that makes me mad, lol I hate when shadows get #'s instead of names...I can never remember them! Xo

  26. Great picks! I really like the looks of #426- reminds me a bit of the bright blue shade in my new Chanel Fascination quad. Both the shades and the palette itself look fantastic- wish we had Inglot here in Toronto! xo

  27. I have yet to try an Inglot product but I don't know if there are any stores near me (in the US that is) - but the quality looks good! I'll definitely be out to try out their blue lipsticks though - they look seriously formidable.

  28. I adore Inglot eyeshadows! In Australia they are actually really affordable too compared to brands such as MAC. I'm so annoyed that they recently closed all of their counters in the state where I live, going in and swatching all the colours was always so fun :( xx

I had my chance to pick up some inglot shadows while I was in NYC last summer but I wasnt very inspired. I might check out a store in Vegas and see if I'm feeling anything! Thanks for sharing.

  32. Wow those eyeshadows look amazing! And I had no idea they were so affordable. I am definitely planning to pick up a few in the future. My favourite is the blue on the left, it reminds me of the rimmel scandal eyes liner that you posted about a little while ago! Would love to see it used for a look.

And I also thought they were very expensive, but they're half the price of MAC!

  35. I adore my Inglot palette because the shades are so buttery and pigmented. Beware though as they are fragile and can easily crumble if dropped!
