Hello, lovelies! Today I have the second installment of my weekend purchases (first post is here). This past weekend I got a few makeup items that had been on my wishlist for a few months. I'm happy with my neutrals collection so I went ahead and bought a lot of colors! Some of them are pastels which are great for the upcoming spring. I did get a lot of Illamasqua products because it's one of my favorite brands.
theBalm Down Boy Blush: I have this blush already and I've showed swatches of it before (in my MAC Blush Palette post), but since I depotted it a bit roughly, it has since crumbled. I bought a replacement because Down Boy is a really beautiful blush.
Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Fruit Punch: Milani recently re-did their lipstick line and added some new shades. They have promoted their new lipsticks very well because I've seen a bunch of swatches across many blogs. Fruit Punch is the one color I HAD to have.
Bobbi Brown Powder Blush in Sand Rose: I enjoy Bobbi Brown makeup very much but I had never tried their powder blushes. I picked a really safe, everyday neutral pink to see what the quality is like.
NYX Eyeshadow Single in Morocco: I've been after this eyeshadow since last year. It's the prettiest blue/purple (violet?) with a bit of pearlessence. It's not completely opaque and needs building up but it's very soft to the touch.
Make Up For Ever #60 Eyeshadow: Another MUFE eyeshadow that had been on my wishlist. Number 60 is a matte navy blue. It's so pigmented! You just tap it with your finger and you get amazing color payoff.
Illamasqua Cream Pigments in Hollow, Dab and Bedaub: I've wanted these for ages! A matte mint green (Bedaub) and lilac (Dab) cream eyeshadow are not so easy to find. These have a really lovely texture. Hollow is a cool toned taupe which looks almost grey on me.
Illamasqua Eyeshadow Singles in Fledgeling and Inception: Fledgeling is a stunning matte kelly green and Fledgeling is a deep violet. Illamasqua makes really lovely colorful eyeshadows.

I really love all the pastels I'm seeing on the pictures! Wish it was spring weather over here, but there was a blizzard recently :/

Great spring haul! I really want to buy Hollow Cream Pigment but more as a blush, do you think it would work? As you say it looks grey on you :-) xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhen I was researching Hollow I saw that a lot of very fair skin girls really liked to use it as a contour shade. I'd say go for it if you have light skin or aren't too warm because otherwise it might pull grey like it does on me xx
DeleteIllamasqua <3 Fledgling is on my list, if I don't end up with MAC's Kelly Green. Definitely need to try "down boy" though!
ReplyDeleteThis all looks so lovely!!

Beautiful buys!
ReplyDeleteoooof. Mint Green. I can't ever wear this color alone without another bright anywhere near my face or body to counteract it. Especially near my body because it only enhances the very real light green in my skin in a real bad way. Kudos to you for being able to wear it.
ReplyDeleteI usually find it a bit hard to pair so I do double mint green or mint green and beige xx
DeleteSuch a lovely selection of colours! Bedaub looks especially pretty, can't wait to see some eotd's with it :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to make some :)
DeleteStunning photos, just beautiful. Love the look of the things you chose, those powder eyeshadows from Illamasqua are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm so tempted by the Illamasqua cream pigments! Love the shades that you chose. And NYX Morocco looks absolutely lovely. I'm definitely looking forward to picking up some new bright shades for spring :)
