Hello, beauties. I hope you had a nice weekend! I have to mention this first: I think these new Wet'n'Wild Shimmer Palettes from the Fergie Collection have unnecessarily long names. Anyways, the Shimmer Palettes are baked shimmery powders that come in a small selection of colors. The shade I have is Rose Champagne Glow. I'm always on the lookout for new highlighters because I still haven't found an absolute favorite. And while I do think Rose Champagne is nice, I don't consider it my favorite.
Texture
Rose Champagne Glow isn't powdery and applies easily. I do wish it was a bit softer, but at least the glitter is finely milled and doesn't look chunky.
Pigmentation
This powder is not as pigmented as I thought it would be considering it looks quite strong in the pan. The sheerness ended up being a good thing because I prefer subtle highlighters.
Packaging
I typically find Wet'n'Wild packaging really flimsy and not very pretty, but it's something I overlook because their prices are quite low. With that in mind, I almost didn't buy this powder because it is quite unappealing in person (packaging-wise). It's too big and clunky (as big as the palm of my hand).
Overall
I think this is an okay highlighter. The price is nice and the shimmer is pretty. I wish it lasted longer on the face and had better packaging. I do like it and will continue to use it, but it's not something I would repurchase. I used Rose Champagne Glow in my last Face of the Day.

I really like this colour! It's so pretty :) It's hard to find some Wetn'Wild products in my country, I don't know where to find them on the Internet...
ReplyDeleteGreat post!

If your from Australia or NZ there are a few websites that sell them. You can get them from Amazon if you're in the UK xx
Deletewow- really nice shimmer!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my latest OOTD :-)
This looks like such a pretty highlight. I soooo want to try some WnW - their products always seem such great quality xx
ReplyDeleteI like it but you're right about the unappealing packaging! Xx
ReplyDeleteI like it, maybe u can use a primer with it?
ReplyDeleteI'm not big on primers other than eye primers. I like products that preform well on their own xxxx
DeleteI agree I prefer that too
DeleteThe color looks pretty but indeed now very eye-catching packaging. If it was me I would have bought something much cuter hehe xD
ReplyDeleteHowever, thanks for the review!
Thanks for the review! Looks like a nice highlighter for the price, but there are definitely better ones out there. Still makes me curious to check out some Wet N' Wild soon :)

Aww, it's so cute! :)

This does look pretty but like you said I don't think it's 'the one'. These Fergie products were all kind of let downs (from what I can tell)... hopefully you'll find your perfect highlighter one of these days though :)

Yeah, I'm still looking for the one :) And I won't be buying anything else from the Fergie collection, that's for sure xx
Deleteits really gorgeous

Looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSad it doesn't last too long though.
Hareem xx
The color is definitely very pretty! Too bad it doesn't last on the face much..

Very pretty color <3
ReplyDeleteIt is a very pretty color
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame you don't love it as it's a lovely colour. I'm also put off wearing products that don't have good wear time, I hate reapplying during the day! xx

love the color! simply gorgeous! xoxo

I agree with you Coco! I bought this highlighter too, and it's okay but honestly nothing special, I much prefer my Dior Amber Diamond or Benefit High Beam over it!

It looks so pretty in the pan! I like the packaging, it reminds me of the new L'Oreal Eyeshadow quads.. I would have though it would look a bit more special considering how nice it looks in the compact :( xxx

Thank you for this post! This was pretty much the only thing I was interested in in the Wet N' Wild Fergie collection but I think i'm just going to skip it due to this review. I've heard pretty crappy things about the shadows from this collection but I didn't heard much about the powder products.
ReplyDeleteYeah, judging from blog swatches the eyesadows don't look very impressive. It's an okay highlighter but there are better things out there. Def not a must have xx
DeleteI saw one of these the other day and I was gonna pick it up, but the shade was a bit too dark for me. If I saw this one, I probably would have gotten it. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful swatch! I wanted this when it first came out but I couldn't find the Fergie products anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI got this at Walgreens but it took my Walgreens a loong time to finally stock them xx
DeleteThank you for being honest with this review. I'm not sure that I like the color, on the skin, after seeing the swatch sheered out. I don't think this is something I would gravitate towards in store after seeing the color in the packaging.
ReplyDeleteIs it weird that I still sort of want this? I can't find it anywhere (and I've looked)! The packaging doesn't bother jsut because of the price and how pretty I think the high lighter is (a bit highlighter obsessed, haha!) But I can totally see why you wouldn't like the packaging, not the greatest design! xx

The Mod Mermaid
Haha not weird at all because I saw this on Temptalia first and she gave it an okay/average review. Yet I still wanted to try it for myself because it looks gorgeous on the pan and it's affordable.
DeleteIn the pan it looks so pretty, too bad it's not long-lasting : / Maybe you can use it under a liquid highlighter to improve it ^^ Thanks a lot for the review Coco! xx
ReplyDeleteOoh I *love* how it looks in the pan and the swatches, a shame it doesn't really work, though, but it is pretty to look at. x
