Becca Mineral Blush in Wild Honey

Hello, lovelies! I hope you're having a good Sunday. The blush I'm reviewing today is one I want to recommend to everyone. I got this on a whim after seeing a swatch here (on the blog Fairy Tales and Coffee, she loves BECCA Mineral Blushes. I trust her opinions so I knew it was something worth checking out.) This cute UFO lived up to all my expecations. The color might be a tad too warm for some but I like the sun-kissed glow it gives me. Here's what I think of the product...
Color
Wild Honey seems to me like a burnt peach. Actually, it's really similar to MAC's Warm Soul Mineralize Blush which I reviewed very recently. Wild Honey seems to be a more pigmented, less shimmery version of Warm Soul. Those are fantastic news because I mentioned in my review that I found Warm Soul a bit sheer and had a hard time getting it to show up on me.
Formula
Wild Honey is luxuriously soft and nicely pigmented. It's a mineral blush so it that "crumbly" texture and a tendency to kick up a lot of powder when you dip your brush in it. That's a problem I can easily overlook because it lasts long on my cheeks and blends flawlessly.
Overall
I am most definitely going to get more of these flying saucer blushes. Beautiful texture and pleasant application! Blending was pretty fool-proof with Wild Honey. I had been using Warm Soul a lot lately but this is going to replace it simply because it's more pigmented. Warm Soul takes twice as long to apply because I need to layer it. The drawback is, of course, that Becca blushes are very expensive. They don't contain parabens, dyes, alcohol, talc, oil or fragrance. They also have vitamin A, C, and E.  I highly recommend waiting for sales in order to treat yourself to items like this one. I got Wild Honey for 15% off. I also recently got a BECCA foundation for $20 off (yes, you read correctly). There's no need to pay full price for high-end items, you just need a little patience :) (Sorry for that random tangent at the end.)

  18. Aww, thanks for them mention. You must try Sweet Pea! Now, I am not a fan of the other colors because I think they fall within the peachy-pink color spectrum (and I refuse to buy peachy-pink blush for the time being), but I would imagine those would look just as nice on you. I'm the same way about cosmetics and skincare purchases. Since I buy so many more beauty products than the average person, I have to be diligent. Maybe around 1/2 of the products I buy are full price, and even then I make sure to get rebates/cashback/points. The rest are with discounts/coupons/promotions/sale days/gift cards.

    1. I actually have very few peachy-pinks so I think I would like them. I definitely want Sweet Pea, it's on my list. High-end products are expensive so I always make a list and wait until sales. Cashbacks like Ebates are also awesome! There are tons of savings online, I rarely buy makeup in-stores anymore xx

  21. There's actually a BECCA counter in HK so I'm definitely trying them out! They're apparently really famous for their lip-cheek tints, but I think their powder blushes would suit me more :) Thanks for the heads up on this lovely color! x

  27. Wow this colour is extremely close to warm soul... I can see why you would exchange that for Wild Honey, it is a lot more pigmented. I love the sunkissed look on you. xx

  32. This looks absolutely beautiful and I'm really glad I read the post as I had no idea Becca products were free from parabens and other nasties. Those are all ingredients I'm constantly trying to eradicate from my skincare routine, but I had pretty much given up hope when it comes to makeup products. I will definitely be having a browse of their products now.
    Hope you're well lovely.

    1. BECCA and Hourglass are brands that offer some makeup items with non-nasty ingredients. I highly recommend taking a look at them :) They're definitely pricey but I consider them really high quality. Plus, it's worth it because saving money on a cheap product but putting low-quality ingredients on your skin is not a good tradeoff for me.

  35. I love warm peach/bronze blushes that contour and add warmth. I am about a NW25 in MAC Foundation in the summer, and so struggle with true pink blushes as they make my chubby cheeks look more swollen!
