Lovely ME:EX Milky Tint in Baby Peach (Disclaimer: Purchased by me, post contains affiliate links)
Hi, beauties! Today's Face of the Day post features a product I've been trying out for the past week. I've quickly fallen in love with this Milky Tint I got from The Face Shop. The Face Shop is a Korean retailer that sells skincare and makeup products. I visited The Face Shop several times while I was in New York because I fell in love with the store. They had a bunch of lovely products, the SAs were very nice, and they had testers of every single product available. I'll be posting a haul from The Face Shop in the future. Anyways, I swatched the Lovely ME:EX Milky Tint on my hand and thought it would be like Benefit's Benetint (which I don't love) so I left without purchasing anything. The swatch lasted the entire day on my hand so I went back and purchased the color Baby Peach. I tried it, loved it, and went back and purchased another Milky Tint in the color Baby Pink! It's labeled as a lip product but the SA told me it was dual purpose (cheeks & lips). I actually prefer it on the cheeks! This is different from the Benetint so if you didn't like it don't be afraid of the Milky Tints.

The Milky Tints are a bit sheer, they need some building up on medium skintones. I actually like that because they look so natural! It's like a glow from within especially because they stain so it doesn't look like powder on top of skin (like regular blush). They have a bit of a learning curve (in terms of application) because they are gel products. This is why they're different from Benefit's Benetint. Benetint is really watery so it sinks in quickly and sometimes looks unblended or splotchy. The Milky Tints are literally milky. They're easier to blend and give you some "playtime" before they set and the color develops. The other thing I love about the Milky Tints is that they last and last and last! Perfect for summer. I like to use my fingers and a stippling brush to apply them.

Sorry for the ramble! I didn't know I could write so much about one product! If you don't have any The Face Shop stores near you, you can also buy the products on eBay. They're actually cheaper on eBay so if you don't mind waiting longer for shipping then that's the best option. Happy Friday!

  3. I know you compared it to Benetint but it looks quite similar to Benefit Cha Cha Tint, as it's more of a 'gel' formula and a similar coral colour! It looks so pretty and fresh on you x

    1. It does seem similar in color but I haven't tried Cha Cha Tint myself so I didn't want to talk about something I hadn't experienced myself if that makes sense :)

  7. Wow, the texture of the Milky Tint is gorgeous! So flattering on you as both a blush and a lip colour. Really a perfect shade for spring! Glad you're loving it :)

  8. Looks lovely on you Coco and when one is passionate about something one can talk (write) on and on about it, that just shows how much you like it and that's the best kind of review. Thanks for sharing this, I had no idea they made lip/cheeks stains so it's good to know. I had a sample of Benetint and it was awful, I was never able to apply it evenly. Have a great weekend darling xx

  9. This sounds fantastic! I loathe benetint because I can never seem to blend it out, it just sets too quickly and goes splotchy, which is not a good look!

Love this colour on you, you're right it looks super natural and better than powder products.

  10. Looks so pretty and natural on you! I wish I have a Face Shop near my area (or maybe I do but never knew about it?), sounds fun to go and test everything out! I like that you mentioned that the blush doesn't sink into your skin right away, I'm always afraid of it being blotchy!

  14. Loving the makeup you are wearing lovely :) This Milky Tint sounds great, although I haven't tried anything like it before, or the Benetint! I'm always afraid that the tint will sink in too fast before I can blend it out haha :)

  17. Oh wow, this looks really lovely!! I really don't like benefit's tints (or the Balm's) either so it's good to know that this one is different from the rest :) Maybe someday I'll take the plunge and try out yet another tint/stain...

  18. You look beautiful! Those tints sound really lovely... I'm not a huge fan of benefit's benetint because it just feels like I'm putting watered-down food dye on my lips/cheeks!

  20. I have never heard of this brand, the packaging is so freaking cute & the color wash on your cheeks is gorgeous! I agree that Benetint can be a little watery, I play around with them sometimes, but not much.

PS. I love the text over your photo, I'm still trying to figure out how to get my photo text down. Xo

  21. Nice, natural look. I bypass the Face Shop on my way to the Korean spas, pastries and restaurants nearby. You have inspired me to check it out. Testers huge plus since I find Korean products generally unsuitable for me. Worth it to check it out.

  22. The sheer is a really good thing for me because I have fair skin and like my freckles too show. This color looks a little too peachy for me, though. You, as always, look gorgeous.

  24. This looks like a nice product, and sounds much more easier to use then Benetint, which I haven't tried. I've tried a few of The Face Shop's products before and they were ok, so I'd love to try these out! xx

  25. This looks really pretty as a blush! I have Benefits Posie tint and I can't seem to get the hang of it, probably because it's much more runny than the Milky Tint.
