Hard Candy Candied Color Nail Polish - Pixie Pink and Sweet Tooth ($6) [Purchased by me]
Hi, lovelies!! Hard Candy released a new range of glitter polishes which I first saw over at Pang's blog. I knew right away that I wanted to try them because her swatches looked very pretty. I also like the tall and thin bottle packaging that some brands have been doing lately. If you want to see swatches of some other Hard Candy colors click here to read her post. Overall, I thought these two polishes were just okay. They are gorgeous pastels for spring (or anytime) but the formula is a bit thick.

Pixie Pink: This color is really a lilac, I don't consider it a pink, really. Anyways, I'm wearing 3 coats of Pixie Pink on my ring finger and 1 coat on top of Essie's Nice is Nice on the rest. This polish was a bit think and the glitter had a tendency to sink.
Sweet Tooth: I'm wearing 2 coats of Sweet Tooth on my ring finger and 1 coat on top of China Glaze's  Secret Peri-wink-le on the rest. This glitter was better than Pixie Pink. It was milky and easy to work with.

Overall, these are not amazing quality glitter polishes but they're not bad either. They're pretty and a bit sheer so you have many layering combination options. Let me know what you're wearing on your nails!

  3. It kind of annoys me when they call a colour something that it's obviously not! Gorgeous colours anyways.

  5. Wow, I love how Sweet Tooth looks! I wish we had a Walmart here - the closest one is at least an 8 or 10 mile drive away. Hmmm, I'm wearing China Glaze Dress Me Up and Motives Daydream on my ring finger. They're all gross and "chipped" because I have a bad habit of peeling my nail polish off after a few days. What's worse is that I ran out of nail polish remover :P

    1. Quite reminiscent! Except the glitter on the Illamasqua Speckled polishes is a bit bigger. I find bigger glitter prettier x

  8. I really love the circular glitter in these (or is it just really small hex glitter?) - Sweet Tooth is gorgeous in particular :) Wish these were available where I live!

  17. Ah, I just did a post on Gummy Green! I agree that the formula isn't the most elegant (especially compared to the Illamasqua Speckled Varnishes that I totally love), but I do really like the multi-coloured glitter in these! For the price, not too bad. Thanks for the review! xo

  19. It's a shame about the formula, but the lilac shade is absolutely gorgeous. I would definitely pick these up if I find them in Walmart (so far, no luck!)

  20. I have Wet n Wild's Under Your Spell on at the moment. I don't really like it. It's a very nice vampy red on the bottle, but when applied, it looks way too brown.

  24. I love how the second one looks! I've actually achieved kind of a similar effect by putting OPI's At First Sight under and on top of Nail's Inc Sweets Way. :)

  29. Both are gorgeous but seem like a pain to apply. Pixie Pink is definitely lilac unless we are colourblind, haha!

  30. The bottles are so pretty. *o*
Both are pretty colors but I like Pixie Pink more. :) lol why would they call it pink when it's obviously lilac. XD

  31. I think they look so cute, and almost Illamasqua speckle polish like? Shame they took some layering to get this effect though :( wish we had Hard Candy here in the UK! xx
