What I'm Loving #2

blog favorites what i'm loving the beauty milk
Hi, lovelies! This is round two of the products I'm currently loving roundup. I mentioned in my What I'm Loving #1 post that I wasn't going to be doing monthly favorites because I'm terrible at keeping up with them. Instead I'll be posting sporadically about products I've been reaching for over and over and over. If I'm honest I'll admit that I wrote this about a month or so ago! LOL. Somehow it got lost in my drafts. I'm currently loving even more items so a What I'm Loving #3 might pop up sooner than later. Enjoy :)

blog favorites what i'm loving the beauty milk
01. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab: I've mentioned that Sheer Glow is one of my favorite foundations many times. However, I acquired a new shade and have started to wear it regularly again. I was using Stromboli but it's way too dark and olive toned for me now. I got Stromboli a long time ago during the summer, when I was really into tanning. Punjab is a better match for me right now.

02. Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer in 53: I featured this in my last What I'm Loving too (oops!) It's such a lovely concealer. It smells delicious and I find it easier to work with than the Collection Lasting Perfection because it doesn't set as quickly or as matte. I still love my Revlon PhotoReady Concealer (that was my go-to before this) but I can't stop using Healthy Mix!

03. Real Techniques Contour Brush: I've been loving this brush for blending my concealer! I used to use my fingers for concealer because I was using a cream formula, but now that I'm using a liquid (the Healthy Mix Concealer or the MAC Mineralize) I always reach for this brush.

04. Nivea Caramel Cream Lip Butter in Caramel Cream: While I think the Nivea Lip Butter formula is nice and moisturizing, the main reason I've been compulsively reapplying this every 10 minutes is that it smells divine! So sweet and delicious. I received this from the lovely Latasha during our swap.

05. Milani Haute Flash LipGloss in In A Flash: A lipgloss in a favorites posts?! If you've read some of my past posts you might remember me mentioning that I don't like wearing lipgloss much. I actually bought In A Flash by mistake, I was looking for the Milani lip pencils. Yes, I was very absent minded that day, confusing a lip pencil for a lip gloss! Even worse, not realizing until I got home! Anyways, I think this lipgloss is so fun. The color is so opaque and unique! I like wearing it over vampy lipsticks.

06. Milani ShadowEyez Eyeshadow Pencil in Brown Deluxe: I went through a cream eyeshadow stick craze a little while ago. I reviewed several shades from the Milani Shadow Eyez and the Rimmel ScandalEyes ranges. I still love them all but my favorite has been Brown Deluxe.

07. Illamasqua Cream Blush in Rude: I used this for a week straight last month. For me it has the perfect formula and it's such a spring/summer color. I have a review of it here.

08. NARS Blush in Douceur: This blush gives me the perfect amount of warmth. It has a lovely texture and I really enjoy using it. I wish I had bought it earlier because now I'm moving onto brighter colors for summer. You can see a review and swatches here.

09. Clinique Moisture Surge Gel: This has always been one of my favorite moisturizers but it's quite pricey so I regularly use Garnier's Moisture Rescue Gel instead (they're fairly similar). I got this mini as a gift with purchase and was reminded of how much I love it. I've already used it all up.

10. Face It Designing Cake Eyebrow in 02 Khaki Grey: I got this kit from The Face Shop during my trip to New York. I love that it's so ashy and grey toned! My natural hair color is really dark and so are my brows. My hair's almost black so I find that brow products that have red or warm tones to them look really off on me.

11. Laura Mercier Undercover Pot: This little pot of goodness includes two concealers, a really dry one for blemishes and a creamy salmon-toned one for undereyes. I actually don't like them too much. The dry one is super stiff and the salmon shade is very sticky. The reason I love this pot is that it comes with the Loose Setting Powder on the bottom. I love that powder to bits!! I've been wanting to purchase a full size of the Setting Powder for ages but I can't justify spending $35 dollars on it just yet.

12. Lovely ME:EX Milky Tint in Baby Peach: I love this product because it's versatile and so fun to use. I also got it from The Face Shop. I did a Face of the Day post with it (read it here) and also featured it in my Summer Makeup post.

13. NARS And God Created The Woman Kit: I've been loving this palette because it's so travel friendly. It's smaller than my phone! I can take this palette with me and create so many looks. I have a review on it (read it here). I wonder if it's still available since it was limited edition.

It seems that I'm loving a lot of NARS and Milani products lately. Let me know of any of your recent favorites so I can discover new products (or if you've done a May favorites post).

  8. I think NARS Douceur will be my first NARS purchase, it looks such a nice colour and seeing that this purchase probably won't be until Autumn now the colour will fit right in.

I have the Real Techniques Contour Brush, never tried it for my concealer though, definitely will be giving that a try!

  32. Punjab and Stromboli are the closest undertone matches for me in Nars, but their formulation is not good for my oily skin. My skin seems to break it apart. If Nars combined Punjab and Stromboli and brought it down a level in deepness...I think it would be perfect tone match. Now, if they could make something suitable for my super oily skin, then they would be in the money.

  35. Okay so *copy* and *paste* into my shopping list. I've been craving, yes craving, NARS sheer glow, but I seem to have collected some foundations so I'll need to get through those! The Healthy Mix concealer sounds ... ugh, divine! I need it in my life :3 NARS is a great brand brand so I can see why you've got so many of their products as favorites! xx

  38. it took me a while to warm up (pun intended) to the lm undercover concealer pot. For the longest time I hated it because it was so dry, but if you use your fingers to really melt the product into your skin it actually lasts all day and has an awesome finish! I would give it a second chance.

    1. I do occasionally use the concealer that way and I agree it's amazing on blemishes but I don't like having to vigorously rub my fingers in it because apparently my fingers are never as clean as I think :/ and it's gotten quite dirty. Gross, I know. My fault really xx
