Hi, lovelies! Today I'll be sharing the blush that has been on my cheeks as of late. Hard Candy (which was formerly sold at Sephora) has an adorable line of blushes that come packaged in a cardboard box. Very reminiscent of Benefit blushes. I have a love-hate relationship with the box packaging but absolutely love the Hard Candy blushes. Sadly, Hard Candy is currently exclusive to Walmart which makes availability very limited. Still, if you can get a hold of these blushes I recommend you at least try one.
Smooth Talker consists of four different colored squares: a peach, a taupe, a pale pink, and a rose pink. The squares aren't terribly big but still large enough to allow you to select specific colors with a small-medium brush. The texture is very soft, almost bordering on crumbly (think Wet'n'Wild Color Icon eyeshadows). The finish is mostly satin and the pigmentation level is medium. I highly dislike sheer blushes because I don't like spending a bunch of time building up color, specially when I have a tan. So trust me when I say that even though Smooth Talker isn't intensely pigmented like, say a NYX or Illamasqua blush, it is by no means sheer. I suppose it's best described as "natural".
The Hard Candy Fox In A Box blushes have an adorable name and equally adorable packaging. The downside is that these cardboard boxed blushes don't hold up well during travelling and take up a lot of space. Luckily, they aren't just novelty items. They preform well too. They're definitely not amazing or the best blushes I've tried, but they're good.
Let me know if you've tried anything from Hard Candy (or if you'd like to)!
