Look Beauty Fat Lips in Pucker

A little while ago a lovely fellow blogger, Latasha, sent me a few UK beauty products including the Look Beauty Fat Lips! in Pucker. Pucker is a coral/orange color that reads more pink on my lips (because of my lips' natural pigment). It's a gorgeous lip color that gives me that "just drank fruit punch" look. I'm going to compare the color and formula to other jumbo pencil balms stains like the Tarte LipSurgence and Revlon Just Bitten Kissables.

I won't ramble too much about the Fat Lips! pencil since almost every single brand has their own version of a jumbo lip pencil. I've found them all to be very similar with the main difference being the strength of the scent (usually mint) and the thickness of the formula. The Look Beauty Fat Lips! reminds me of the Tarte LipSurgence LipTint in that they're thinner than the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains which feel almost a bit waxy in comparison. I prefer the thinner formulas because I feel like the stain sinks in better and lasts longer.

Overall, I find all the jumbo balm pencils to be pretty much the same. Different brands may offer different shades and differ in price but they all deliver a balm-y tint to the lips. From the ones in the market, the Look Beauty and Tarte ones are my favorite. If I take price into consideration, I would pick the Look Beauty Fat Lips because at £6 (sometimes 3 when on sale) they are a much better deal. However, one thing that sets the Tarte Lip Tints ($24) apart is that they offer matte finishes (which are amazing).

Which brand of jumbo/chubby lip pencils is your favorite?

  1. HA! It totally does look like you just had some fruit punch. I love when lip products do that for some reason. I remember when I was younger, I'd take a red ice pop and try to tint my lips with it, haha. I digress, but it's a nice color and I agree, all the jumbo lip contraptions are starting to blur. I've only ever tried the Revlon sticks but would love to try a less waxy formula. If the Fat Lips! were available here, I'd def. check them out!

  3. The Chubby sticks will be my original favorite.. But I've grown to like the Bourjois ones too! Especially the orange one gives my lip an extra touch of life. If that is an accurate way to describe it ;-)

  8. Ohh, another pencil lip product to check out when I go to the UK! So far I've tried the Clinique, Revlon and Bourjois ones. The only one I didn't really like is the Revlon one because I don't find it moisturizing enough and I also dislike the mint scent.

  11. They all look so pretty, but I do imagine them all to be very similar! I am more of a fan of lipsticks, but lip stains come in handy for can't-be-bothered days haha xx

  13. I want to look into the Tarte matte shades. I really don't like gloss on my lips and a stain/jumbo pencil seems like the best option for me. Thanks so much for your reviews. So helpful and interesting as always!

  16. Aw so awesome you got to try some UK products! These actually remind me a lot of the Jordana twist & shine balm stains, I think I will have a post up featuring them this week... I haven't tried the Tarte ones but think you would love them & they are under $3! You look beautiful like always! XO
