Hello, beauties! I have two really pretty lip products to share with you today. They are limited edition shades from the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters ($7.50) line. I was not interested in these at first. Mainly because I already own too many Lip Butters. I have almost every single color from the permanent range and even have doubles of my favorites (Pink Truffle and Berry Smoothie). I have Jordan from Boho Vanity to thank because I only started to lust after Pink Lemonade and Juicy Papaya after seeing how pretty they looked on her.
Some bloggers mentioned that the formula for these was a bit different than the regular Lip Butter formula and I must agree. It's not bad by any means, but in my opinion it's not as good. It's thinner and less pigmented. I actually love the thickness and butteriness of the original LB because it makes them forgiving on dry lips.
Like I mentioned before, these are sheerer than the permanent Lip Butters (specially Juicy Papaya). I have to go over my lips quite a few times to get full color payoff. Still, they give your lips a good color. Pink Lemonade is light pink and Juicy Papaya is a peachy coral.
Sheer glossy lip products don't last that long in general. These last about 2-3 hours on me which is average.
I like these a lot, the colors are gorgeous. What I love about Revlon Lip Butters is that they make your lips look juicy. I'm not a lip gloss wearer but the gloss on these is just right for me. Neither Pink Lemonade nor Juicy Papaya have become my favorite Lip Butter colors but I'm glad I got them!
Have you tried these or the Revlon Lip Butters in general? Which one is your favorite?
