Divina Latina Red Carpet Ready Look + Giveaway

Disclaimer: This post is part of a campaign in collaboration with Latina Bloggers Connect and Unilever. The products marked with * were sent to me.

Hello, lovelies! I have an exciting post for you today, it includes a giveaway so make sure to read on 'till the end. Latina Bloggers Connect, Unilever, and Walgreens have teamed up to help you look and feel red carpet ready during the fall (like divina latina). So what exactly does it mean to be a Divina Latina? To me it means rewarding and pampering yourself everyday. Usually, red carpet inspired looks are exclusively focused on prepping you for a glamorous night out. Sadly for me, those don't happen very often. So why not incorporate that idea into a more everyday routine?

Prep: Bath
Begin the experience before you start getting ready. Using your "special" facial cleanser or favorite scented body wash (or bar soap) will give your mood a little boost. Go for a very aromatic wash like the Caress Tempting Whisper Body Wash* from their Fine Fragrance Elixirs range. A potently fragranced wash will also help with scent layering after you've applied a complementary perfume.
Hair Styling
I'm terrible at blow drying my hair so I just usually point the dryer at random chunks of hair on a paddle brush. I leave the job of making my hair look nice to my straightening iron. To protect my hair prom heat I used the Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Infusing Heat Protection & Shine Spray.
The Makeup
I rarely get to wear a nice dress and go to a glamorous event anymore, so the focus of the makeup is "everyday glam". I was getting ready to go out with my best friend so I wanted my makeup to look polished but still fun. In other words: colorful! I used the Pond's Luminous Finish BB+ Cream* as my base and blended a teal eyeshadow on my crease. On the lips I only used lip balm so the eyes would be the main focus.
Before & After

Deal Alert: You can get 2,000 Balance Rewards points (a.k.a. $2 in store credit) at Walgreens when you purchase 2 participating Unilever products. That includes Caress, Pond's, and Tresemme. This offer expires on October 26. Also, during the 26th of October there will be Divina Latina beauty demos taking place at participating Walgreens stores. You can locate a store near you using this locator.

Giveaway
Without further ado, the giveaway! I'll be giving away a $20 Walgreens Gift Card to one winner. All you have to do to enter is comment on this blog post answering one of the following questions: What do you do to feel red carpet ready? How would you make your everyday routine more glamorous? What would you purchase with the Walgreens gift card?

The giveaway will run for 7 days. I don't like to exclude readers but, of course, you should only enter if you have access to a Walgreens store and can spend your gift card. I hope international readers understand. Important: If your comment does not link to your blog, Twitter or other profile where I can contact you if you win, please leave your email address.

Good luck! :)

If I could make my every day routine more glamorous I'd always get ready in one of those fancy spa robes and I'd give myself 45 minutes longer! Ha! ;p

  5. Looking gorgeous as always Coco!! I'm actually surprised at how well that Pond's BB cream seems to cover skin imperfections and just even things out overall. Anyways, if I won… I hate to be boring but I'd probably just buy toiletries like mouthwash, deodorant, etc; I hate having to buy those things myself (wouldn't it be nice if necessities were free? Haha) so it's always nice to use a gift card to get them :)

  15. You look gorgeous and red-carpet ready!! I agree that if it's not something you get to go to a lot, even if it's just a small thing it feels good to treat yourself like it's a big event. Absolutely love the eyes! xx

To feel "red carpet ready", I pull out my best high end products, like Dior Mascara, and MAC penultimate liner, and Urban Decay Naked Palette eye-shadows, and primer. When I put expensive products on my face, I feel far more special, because it deviates from my everyday looks which use pretty much just as good products such as cover girl mascara, wet n wild eyeshadows, and ELF liquid eyeliner.
