Begin the experience before you start getting ready. Using your "special" facial cleanser or favorite scented body wash (or bar soap) will give your mood a little boost. Go for a very aromatic wash like the Caress Tempting Whisper Body Wash* from their Fine Fragrance Elixirs range. A potently fragranced wash will also help with scent layering after you've applied a complementary perfume.
I'm terrible at blow drying my hair so I just usually point the dryer at random chunks of hair on a paddle brush. I leave the job of making my hair look nice to my straightening iron. To protect my hair prom heat I used the Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Infusing Heat Protection & Shine Spray.
I rarely get to wear a nice dress and go to a glamorous event anymore, so the focus of the makeup is "everyday glam". I was getting ready to go out with my best friend so I wanted my makeup to look polished but still fun. In other words: colorful! I used the Pond's Luminous Finish BB+ Cream* as my base and blended a teal eyeshadow on my crease. On the lips I only used lip balm so the eyes would be the main focus.

Without further ado, the giveaway! I'll be giving away a $20 Walgreens Gift Card to one winner. All you have to do to enter is comment on this blog post answering one of the following questions: What do you do to feel red carpet ready? How would you make your everyday routine more glamorous? What would you purchase with the Walgreens gift card?
The giveaway will run for 7 days. I don't like to exclude readers but, of course, you should only enter if you have access to a Walgreens store and can spend your gift card. I hope international readers understand. Important: If your comment does not link to your blog, Twitter or other profile where I can contact you if you win, please leave your email address.
