LUSH Haul + Reviews

lush cosmetics haul review
I went a bit crazy at LUSH and bought several items which I justified by reminding myself that there are no LUSH stores back home. Their products are somewhat expensive considering you can only get a few uses out of most (like the bath bombs, bubble bars, and bath melts). However, I'm glad to support them because their products are handmade, vegan (most of them), and cruelty free. I've used most of the products I purchased so I'll be including reviews along with the haul.

lush ma bubble bar review
The Ma Bar is described as a chocolate-toffee bar with two halves and a brown sugar center. Sadly, I had already used the white honey toffee half before taking the photos for this post. The Ma Bar would be more effective if used whole, of course, but I just can't bear the thought of only getting a single use out of my LUSH products. It smells sweet and delicious. It didn't make my bath too bubbly but it did make my skin very soft.
Repurchase: Yes.

lush tisty tosty bath bomb
A beautiful heart-shaped bath bomb that is rose scented. This is the only product from this haul that I haven't used yet so I can't say whether I would repurchase this or not yet.

lush breath of fresh air toner review
I had been using LUSH's Tea Tree Water toner for the past 6 months but recently ran out of it. Instead of repurchasing Tea Tree, I decided to try a different variety. Breath of Fresh Air contains aloe vera, rose, seaweed, and rosemary oil. It smells really nice and I like it on my skin. However, I like Tea Tree even better so in the future I'd probably get the large size of Tea Tree or try out Eau Roma Water.
Repurchase: Maybe.

lush catastrophe cosmetic mask review
It was hard to decide which fresh mask to try first. Ultimately I went with Catastrophe, a cleansing mask with blueberries, almond oil, chamomile, and calamine. It's a great mask for many skin types, I think. It's not moisturizing (it's not meant to be) but it cleanses the skin in a very gentle way. After a few uses my skin has been looking fresher and more soothed (less red).
Repurchase: Yes.

lush let the good times roll cleanser review
This cleanser has a really nice texture. It exfoliates but it's not grainy or gritty, it's very gentle and creamy. It also smells delicious, just like their Popcorn Lip Scrub (although the scent might be a bit sickly if you're not a lover of sweet scents). It has corn oil, corn meal, and cinnamon powder. Sadly, I don't really like this. It works like any other exfoliating cleanser (scrub) but it leaves an unpleasant residue on my face. I've used it several times but the result is always the same. After I wash it off it feels as if I had put food on my face (could be the polenta).
Repurchase: No.

lush popcorn lip scrub review
I'm all about making my own lip scrubs, but I had to try the famous Popcorn scrub. I was worried that $10 might be too much for a tiny jar of lip scrub, but the Popcorn scrub is very dry, gritty, and tightly packed. This is actually a good thing because you only need to use very little. It smells amazing, like caramel popcorn, and tastes delicious. Verdict: love it!
Repurchase: Yes.

Have you tried any of these? Let me know what your favorite LUSH products are so I can pick them up next time. I'm still a LUSH newbie.

  1. *ahem* Twilight bath bomb, I'm almost sure you'll love. If you like Ma Bar try the It's Raining Men Shower gel, has the same scent and I find that LUSH shower gel scents always linger which is wonderful. OH! If you plan to make an online order, I highly, highly, highly (VERY HIGHLY) recommend you get Rose Jam shower gel. It's such a a gloriously beautiful scent. It's down right intoxicating, I promise you. Hmm, I really like Sunnyside Bubble Bar because it makes the bath water look sparkly (it doesn't stain or anything!) Haha, just a small list ;D

I was actually thinking of getting Let the Good Times Roll but I don't think I could take the weird residue afterwards! Also, very good job in getting Popcorn. It's the most gloriously tasty scrub they're ever come out! So happy they've made it permanent :D Fantastic haul, Coco! You'll be a crazed LUSHIE like the rest of us in no time :D

  7. Ohh that face mask sounds so nice! I'm glad you tried out that toner, I've used the tea tree toner in the past and wanted to possibly try out the breath of fresh air, but maybe I'll look into some of the others as well before deciding! Great post!

  8. I used to love Lush, but since 2 years I keep getting headache from their products as they use too much perfume. It's sad, cause the quality really IS excellent for the skin, but unless they start an less scented or unscented line, I won't be able to buy their products anymore.

  30. Where do i even begin with Lush?! I love their limited edition twilight shower gel, the lavender scent puts me in a great mood when i shower before bed. I just bought the snow fairy one because it smells so yummy, i haven't tried it yet but i'll probably use that when i shower in the mornings.
All their bathbombs are so fun but i always find myself going back to the simple butterball because that it makes my skin so so soft. Dream cream is one of the best body/hand lotions i've ever used so i highly recommend that!
I'm trying one of their new cleansers at the moment and so far i'm loving it, i might do a review of it soon.
I really want to try their face masks, my only concern is that they don't last long at all.

  36. I usually stay away from Lush throughout the year, but once they get their Christmas collections in, I go a bit crazy! :D I usually only get bath bombs (some of my faves are Butterball, Blackberry and Sex Bomb), but I've also tried their Mint Julips Lip Scrub that I LOVE! I'm definitely picking up another one soon. I might try Popcorn this time!

  37. The only one of these I've tried is Catastrophe Cosmetic, and it's in the won't repurchase category for me. Brazened Honey is my favorite Lush mask. I'm not crazy about the bubble bars, but the bath bombs, especially Sex Bomb, are spectacular and luxurious! Might have to try Popcorn after reading this.
