Cranberry Chocolate Makeup Look

MAC's Cranberry eyeshadow is a gorgeous metallic shade that is great year round but is especially lovely around Thanksgiving and Christmas. This makeup look has a very warm feel, the focus was kept on the eyes and on the rest of the face I used nudes. My skin looks dewier than usual here because of two reasons: it has really hot and I used a luminous finish BB cream. I named this Cranberry Chocolate because the two main eyeshadows used were Swiss Chocolate and Cranberry from MAC.

THE EYES: First I applied Too Faced Shadow Insurance to prime my eyes. I went in with Cranberry on the middle to outer lid and on the bottom lash line. Using a fluffy brush (MAC 217) I blended Swiss Chocolate into the crease. To help with the transition, I used Orb on the brow bone. For the life of me I can't remember which eyeshadow I used on the inner corner. It was probably NARS Kalahari or MAC Vex. Any light shimmery eyeshadow will do. To create my winged liner, I'm pretty sure I used the Bourjois Liner Pinceau liquid liner. To help counteract any redness, I used a nude pencil on the waterline (MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in nc15/nw20). On the lashes I used my favorite mascara, Tarina Tarantino Fleur de Lash Faceted.

THE FACE: I used Pond's Luminous Finish BB+ in Light* as my base. This was sent to me for a previous post but I've been pleasantly surprised by it and will review it in the future. This will last you through a dinner but for a lengthier special occasion I suggest a foundation. I made sure to cover any blemishes and redness on the face. This is key whenever you are using red toned makeup or else it will all look splotchy. I used my lightest concealer underneath the eyes, the MAC Mineralize Concealer in NC20. On the cheeks I applied a generous amount of MAC Warm Soul Mineralize Blush. It's like a shimmery sheer version of NARS Douceur. On the lips I used what I dubbed as one of my favorite drugstore nudes at the beginning of October, Wet'n'Wild Mega Last Lipstick in Bare It All (902C). It's a warm brown/beige nude, basically the same color as Warm Soul.

I hope you liked this makeup look! Let me know if you own Cranberry or if you'd give this a try.
