Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polish in Bordeaux

revlon parfumerie nail polish bordeaux
Revlon recently released a new line of scented nail polishes called Parfumerie. You've probably seen these in a few blogs now. Revlon limited releases are usually very popular and highly coveted amongst beauty lovers (specially their lip products!) The color I have is Bordeaux, a deep crimson red. I didn't have high expectations for these because gimmicky products (in this case scented polish) are usually of questionable quality. These retail for approximately $5 (depending on where you purchase).

(Excuse my broken nail, please.)
I'll admit right away: I didn't buy this because it's scented. I have no interest in scented polishes. I got Bordeaux because the Parfumarie packaging is beautiful! It's the prettiest drugstore nail polish packaging I've ever seen. Bordeaux smells of something fruity. The scent lasts about 2 days on the nails and is only detectable while painting your nails and if you put your fingernails to your nose. If you use a top coat the scent disappears. The formula is okay, but chips pretty quickly and I found it more difficult to remove than my other nail polishes. Basically it's a novelty item. The beautiful packaging is what sells this.

Have you tried any of the Revlon Parfumerie polishes? Are you interested?

  13. I personally didn't even blink twice at these polishes; scented nails just seem so gimmicky and weird to me haha. And from what I've seen the formula doesn't seem to be anything special so I'm glad I passed.

    1. Yep, I'm into it strictly because of the beautiful packaging. I've never gotten the appeal of scented polish xx

  16. I don't understand the concept here. I think nail polish is smelly enough when you put it on and my fingers will inevitably smell like garlic (from cooking) if I place them near my nose... It's not like someone is going to walk by me and say "Oh, wow... what is that scent? Is that your nails?"

  18. I said the same thing to another beauty blogger post on a different shade of this! I love the packaging! It looks like old fashion perfume glass bottles, a very classic shade but I guess nothing much else too special!

  28. This looks like a nice autumn/winter colour though probably not the most unique of shades. Still, as you point out, the packaging really draws you in :)
