Hello, beauties! There will be a full review of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette ($52) in the future, but first here's a little teaser. For my makeup today I used a mixture of old, tried-and-true favorites, as well as some new items I'm still in the process of testing out. I am already certain I love the Naked 3 Palette but there other items I'm still not certain about (Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, I'm looking at you!)
EYES: My eye primer of choice was the original Urban Decay Primer Potion. Then, I went to work on the eyes using the Naked 3. On my lid I used the shade Liar, on the outer corners I used Blackheart, on my brow bone I used Strange, and on my crease I used Nooner. On top of that, I used Bobbi Brown's Long Lasting Gel Liner in Black Ink to create winged lines. To conceal my dark circles I applied the Revlon PhotoReady Concealer in Light/Medium. I finished the eyes with a coat of the Collection Super Size Fat Lash Mascara.
FACE: To keep my makeup in place for hours I used my favorite primer, the Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer. Then, I applied two layers of the Marc Jacobs Supercharged Genius Gel Foundation in the color Light Beige. I contoured the sides of my face using my old-realiable Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. After over 2 years of use the outline of the pan is finally starting to show through. On the top of my cheekbones I used the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold. To set my foundation I dusted a bit of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light.
LIPS: In order to stay within the same color family and complement this tan/mauve makeup look, I used the Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Naughty Nude.
In a nutshell… The old, tried-and-trues: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer, Revlon PhotoReady Concealer, and Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer. The newbies: Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Naughty Nude (loving it), Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (loving it), BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold (undecided), and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light (meh).
