Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Jasmine and Pomegranate

The Korres Lip Butters are staple products in the beauty community but today I'm going to share with you their glaze counterpart. I'm not keen on calling the Glazes lip glosses because they don't exactly feel like ones. Prior to purchasing these I used to see them being sold separately at Sephora and Beauty.com. Then I saw them pop up in several sales in sets of three or four. Now I can't really find them easily so I'm thinking they might be getting discontinued? Still, I decided to review these because I included one in my 3k Giveaway.

Let's hear it for them under eyes in the left pic. Rough night.

Undoubtedly I love the Lip Butter Glazes. Otherwise, I wouldn't have included one in my giveaway. They're the perfect throw-in-your-bag lip product because you can build up the color intensity to your liking. They feel like thinner versions of the Revlon Lip Butters: smooth, non-sticky, and they provide a natural sheen. They also glide over lip imperfections very nicely. They don't feel like glosses to me because they're thicker (more balm-like) and last longer.

My only wish is that these had a fuzzy/sponge tip like the Clarins Natural Lip Perfectors because slanted plastic applicators aren't my favorites and I don't think they're ideal for balms. Other than that, I'd take these over the original Korres Lip Butters any day (although I don't actually own any) because over time I grow increasingly intolerant to lip products that come in jars/pots. They gross me out. :/

Out of the two, Pomegranate is my favorite and the one I use the most. I really like Jasmine but I find it a bit too pale for me sometimes. Oh, and these are all vanilla scented.

Have you tried these? If you know of any similar products let me know because I'm not a big glossy lips fan but I'm really enjoying these balm-gloss hybrids!

  6. I know most women aren't a fan of the pot version of a lip balm but I really love the Jasmine lip butter. I actually prefer it to the squeeze applicator. I'm sure I'm in the minority!

    1. The pots are more popular, I don't see people talking about the glazes much but I prefer them for convenience and hygienic reasons xx

  8. I love korres, they are one of my favorite brands! I'm really sad that sephora isn't carrying their makeup anymore, I'll have to get it online! These are awesome but I promise that the lip butters are great too! Try one of them out, you'll get over the fact that they are on a pot once you see how amazing they feel and look on the lips!

  9. I've had only a few products from Korres and it's mostly love. In my gift set order i had the exact same pomegranate lip gloss and I gave it to my mom because she's much into corals! I also got the lip balm in jasmine but I really don't like it. It's too pasty colored on my lips and makes me look quite dead and I'm not a fan of the caramel scent. I've tried a mango butter lipstick from them and it's amazing, I really want to visit a counter (we have very few) and get more! Thanks for sharing, both shades look great on you, especially jasmine!

    1. Yes, the Jasmine shade is quite pale and not the best for our types of skin tones. I still wear it but much more sheerly x

  11. These look beautiful! I love the lip butters, but I don't like them on the go. I don't think it's sanitary sticking your fingers into the pots. These seem like a great alternative!

    1. Yes! That's my biggest gripe with it. And every time you open them they get exposed. Somehow all my pot/jar lip items end up with some kind of lint :S

  30. I have both these shades of the Korres Lip Butter Glaze! I love its texture and definitely agree with you that they aren't a gloss. They feel more moisturising and I love the sheer colour payoff it gives :)
