Hello, beauties! I was asked to be part of Neutrogena's Face-Off Challenge this month. The challenge aims to demonstrate the efficiency of the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes in removing dirt, oil, and makeup. Here are my results of the #NeutrogenaRostroLimpio challenge….

Gross!

The challenge consisted of the following:
+ Take a "before" picture with your regular full face of makeup on
+ Use one Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelette to take off your makeup
+ Use your regular cleanser afterwards
+ Dry your face with a white towel to demonstrate the results

I'm very glad that Neutrogena asked us to stress the importance of cleansing after using a makeup remover in this challenge. Some brands market their wipes or makeup removers (such as micellair waters) as the only product you need in your nighttime routine. I know we've all used a makeup wipe to remove our makeup and then gone to sleep on those nights when we're really tired. That's really bad for the skin though. Makeup removers are meant to get rid of the makeup that cleansers can't, but the remover stays on the skin.

Anyway, I was very surprised with the results of the Face-Off challenge. I'm a long-time user of the Neutrogena Cleansing Towelettes but I don't tend to dry my face with a white towel. So if there is ever any trace of makeup afterwards there's no way for me to know. I expected at least some mascara residue to rub off on the white towel but it came out pretty spotless.

The Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes vanity case with 25 sheets retails for $8.99. Neutrogena describes them as soft and gentle enough for contact lens wearers. Neutrogena is also recommended by dermatologists two times more than any other brand.

What's your makeup removing routine like? Have you used the Neutrogena Towelettes before?

  2. The Neutrogena facial wipes are my No. 1 preference for removing make up. They do such a great job I rarely need to use another remover. I always stock up on these! Love the review. 😀

  4. Holy awesome! I agree, it's great that Neutrogena emphasized washing your face afterwards. It's a pretty critical step, and it seems like a lot of people think it's ok to just use wipes. No!

  8. After watching a YT video posted a few days ago about Beauty Fact or Fiction: Should You Wash Your Face Twice A Day (it's titled something like that), I'm actually going to try to work on not using wipes. If you can find that video, it'll explain why!

  9. I don't use the wipes but my sister does! I typically just take it off with remover or cleansing oil, and then maybe wash my face with a cleanser.. but this just looks so awesome for when you're feeling tired or lazy! (:

  13. I've used the neutrogena eye makeup remover wipes before and though the fabric is a bit rough, the pads are thick and are efficient at wiping away the eyeliner on my undereye. For some reason, facewash never gets that fully cleaned, I suppose its because I squish my eyelids together when i splash my face with water. I always look like a raccoon afterwards and so I plan on getting back into the groove of makeup wipes.

  14. I love Neutrogena products. Nothing I've tried so far disappointed me. My favorite one is Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser at the moment. I us it every day as a finishing step to my cleansing routine. Definitely will be trying the towelettes, thanks for the review!

  19. I was also so grossed out by my used wipe but it took off everything surprisingly well. I've used them in the past but I've never done a "white towel test" to see how well they take off your makeup. I really enjoyed your post and pictures. :-)

  21. It's nice to see that this product removes much make-up! I really don't like having that much make up left to my skin because it will only make my skin look older. Thanks for the review!
