Review: MAC So Sweet, So Easy Cremeblend Blush

I own many MAC products but their cream blushes are ones I've always ignored. They're known for their lipsticks and eyeshadows, amongst other things, but not necessarily for their Creamblend Blushes. I assumed they wouldn't be the best cream blushes in the market but still decided to give them a try in case I liked them. At $21, it's cheaper than most high end cream blushes.

Texture
This blush is thinner and more slippery than most of my other cream formulas (like the Stila Convertible Colors for example). This means it has bit less resistance and stays dewier. It also wears off quicker.
Pigmentation
This has medium-buildable pigmentation because of it's thinner consistency. Some people may prefer this because I know the super intense pigmentation of some cream blushes (like the Make Up For Ever or Bobbi Brown ones) are intimidating and a bit hard to to work with because three bristles of your brush are enough for your entire cheek, literally.
Overall
I liked the formula of So Sweet, So Easy and the color is very pretty. Although, be careful, because it swatches lighter than it looks in the pan. However it's not my favorite cream blush because I prefer a thicker more pigmented formula. And, if possible, a semi-matte finish.

Have you tried the Cremeblend Blushes? What do you think about them? What is your favorite cream blush formula?

  2. I'm not really a huge fan of cream blushes as they're normally too thick and stodgy for my skin! but I may test this out as its lighter and such a pretty colour :) thanks, Alexandra, x

    1. Do you have dry skin? I prefer the thicker ones because they last better on me so you might like the opposite. The oilier ones like Revlon, MAC, MUA, and NYX's. xx

  5. Sounds good to me because I'd like to top a cream blush off with powder as I really am not comfortable with dewiness on my face! I love how it looks on you! And what's on your lips? It's beautiful!

  8. This looks stunning on you! I've always thought about purchasing a cream blush from MAC but I've always been scared that they will feel sticky throughout the day! xx

    1. I don't think ashy per se, it's just really light. I'm at my tannest right now so I think it would look best a around an NC/NW25 coloring or less. Something Special is completely different, it's peachy. I would actually suggest the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Pale Pink for someone with a warm skin tone looking for a color like So Sweet, So Easy (a neutral/cool light pink) xx

  16. I haven't tried creamblend blushes before. In fact, I haven't tried cream blushes before because I have more oily skin so I'm afraid that the cream blushes will slip and slide throughout the day. The shade of this blush itself is lovely though! I may have to hunt down a powder form of it. xx

  18. Such a pretty pink for Spring! But I would probably prefer something a bit more pigmented too. Looks perfect with that makeup look, though :)
