What I'm Wearing: Natural Hollywood

fotd makeup look bobbi brown old hollywood palette
At first glance the Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood Palette doesn't seem very daytime/subtle as it has a lot of glittery eyeshadows. There are ways to tone it down like by just using the glitters on the inner corners of the eyes. Or you can use it all over if you'd like. I also love some neutral glitter every now and then. Anyhow, here is today's Face of the Day.

(Again, sorry for the terrible selfie. It was taken with my phone.)
I was going for one of those "no-makeup makeup" looks. I went sans foundation because sometimes I don't feel like wearing any. I did heavy concealing using the Revlon PhotoReady Concealer in Light/Med. I'm one of those people that contours everyday so I used my Sleek Contour Kit in Medium to do that. For blush I used NARS's barely-there shade Love. Then I set everything with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent. I filled in my brows a bit using the Face it Designing Brow Cake in Khaki Grey and set them with Mary Kay's Lash Primer. For my eyes I used a few shades from the Old Hollywood Palette and coated my lashes with the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara. On the lips I used a layer of the Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Pomegranate.

What's on your face today? Have a nice day! :)

  4. i love that korres lip butter glaze, pomegranate is my favourite shade, it gives just enough of the prettiest colour without you having to worry about touching it up all the time. also that bobbi brown palette looks gorgeous, i don't mind a bit of neutral shimmer in the daytime, it's just annoying when palettes hardly include any matte options because it makes it hard to tone it down when you've ONLY got shimmers!

    1. I definitely, I agree. Palettes need at least two matte shades in my opinion. xx

  9. Whoa, Your skin is flawless, this whole look is flawless. I wish my skin was nice enough to skip base products. I'm not one of those people who can't leave the house without makeup, in fact I do that quite regularly. I'm just saying I wish I didn't have to feel the need for base every time I do actually wear makeup.
Anyway great post. I always enjoy your fotd's, you make me want to experiment more with makeup.

  13. Pretty! I really like the packaging for that palette. Your hair has grown out quite a lot compared to the barely-shoulder length I remember!

  15. I definitely think is super effortless, wearable for day and night and those smokey neutrals are lovely! I've never bought any make up from bobbi brown but would love to! I love that lip color on you! I've been wearing more shimmery neutral shades recently paired with a rosy cheek!
