The Mauve Look

rose mauve makeup look using mac coastal scents mug
One afternoon I was leisurely doing my makeup, the same way I would do it any other day. When I was finished I noticed my eyeshadow resembled some of the rosy/mauve looks you could achieve with the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. So if you don't own that, here are some cheaper alternatives from MAC, Makeup Geek, and Coastal Scents that you may even already have in your collection.

I know MAC eyeshadows aren't particularly cheap, but if you buy them in refill pans they only cost you $10. MUG eyeshadows retail for $6 and Coastal Scents shadows go for $2.

What products do you like to use when trying to achieve mauve/rose/earth toned makeup?

  3. Hey, I'm really curious how are you liking the Dream Lumi primer? I am so obsessed with the ENTIRE dream/magic lumi line and was going to pick up the newest foundation, but maybe I need to get this, too!!

    1. Quality-wise, it does what it promises. The issue is really weather you like that look. It's quite pearlescent and has micro shimmer but a lot of it. I think it looks pretty but it's quite love it or hate it I think. xx

    1. It's quite average at oil control and comes in a packaging that makes it pretty impossible to take with you for touch ups. xx

  5. I've had one of the Becca foundations in my Sephora shopping cart for like a month now! It looks amazing on you! I definitely need something with more coverage though sadly!

  12. Coco, I love the mauve tones...! I don't have the Naked3 yet so I'm dying for some rosy, pinky and copper pink shades! I totally want MUG shadows but shipping to singapore is very pricey, like more than 50% the last time I tried to order some before turning back! I love the lip color on you, it's such a beautiful brownish shade!

    1. Such a shame! The products are great and affordable but if the shipping is too high it kinda ruins it x

  13. What a nice and neutral look. I like that you skipped the top liner because it made the look much softer. c:
