Newest Favorite: MAC Sunbasque Blush

mac sunbasque blush swatch review nc30
MAC Sunbasque Blush ($17 pan, $21 compact): A reader suggested in the comments that I try this blush once (so sorry, I don't remember your name!) I'm glad I did because I think it's glorious. I'm not keen on shimmery/frosty blushes but I adore this one. It has a satin/shimmer finish that looks fresh on the cheeks and doesn't accentuate pores. I think this shade is great year round but it's so appropriate for the upcoming summer.

This blush has very nice pigmentation, texture, and wear time. It's a Sheertone Shimmer, but I wouldn't call it sheer. If I had to describe Sunbasque in one word it would be: warmth. It makes you look totally sun kissed without looking orange. It might be a tad dark on fairer skin tones but I think it's perfect for medium to tan ones.

Let me know if you've tried this one too! It has become one of my favorite blushes from MAC.

  1. I tend to avoid these shades as I find they just don't suit my skintone but it just looks gorgeous on you xx

  2. Oh my, this looks so gorgeous! I've actually never heard of/seen this shade before. It sort of reminds me of NYX Terracotta? Gorgeous nonetheless, and yeah perfect for Summer!

    1. Haven't tried Terracotta although I believe that's matte? It might be a great alternative without shimmer x

  3. Oof this looks like a slightly pinker version of NARS Taj Mahal! It looks absolutely stunning on you, and the sheen looks so "my skin but better". I think I'm going to go put this on my wishlist! :) x

  18. I think Sunbasque would be perfect for my skin tone! Sometimes my face needs a little warmth added back into after applying foundation and I think this shade just might do the trick. Thank you so much for the swatches/review. :)

  20. Such a gorgoues shade! I have a love for warm nude peach brown blushes and this look so meh in the pan but on swatch and on the face this is brilliant! I own no mac blushes yet but really should take a look!
