Review: MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty

mac mineralize blush dainty swatch review nc30
If you've never taken a look at the MAC Mineralize Blushes ($27) then I highly suggest you do. I'm a huge fan of the shade Warm Soul (reviewed previously here) and now I'll be showing you Dainty, a warm toned light/medium pink. Keep reading to see my full thoughts and swatches.

The Mineralize Blushes have semi-opaque pigmentation. They apply similarly to the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes: you build them up. They're pigmented, two sweeps are usually enough for me, but you'll never have one of those omg-I-look-like-a-clown moments. Because of this, the lighter colors are probably not suitable for deeper skin tones. The texture is soft and the finish is satin with micro shimmer (seriously, you can't even see it on the face).

I love this color because it's a great pink for many skin tones. Do you have a favorite MAC Mineralize Blush? Also can we talk about the $2 price increase ever since they changed the packaging? These blushes used to cost $25. Ew. And I am not a fan of the new Mineralize packaging.

  2. Such a pretty pink, not too warm or cool toned. I'm not usually one for pink blushes, but this one looks really pretty. Ugh MAC, just looking for sneaky ways to increase the price. Yeah I think the new packaging looks a bit bulky and weirdly asymmetrical.

    1. Ugh I know. The price increase is putting me off so much. They're still cheaper than most things at Sephora but meh x

  7. I haven't tried the mineralized blushes before but there are a couple of shades that have caught my eye. So many beauty brands are hiking up the prices of their products. So frustrating! xx

  11. I absolutely hate the new packaging. I love Dainty to death. It was my first MAC blush. But if I ever finish mine up, I probably will not buy it again because of this packaging. I cannot get the new packaging open.

  12. First time I'm hearing of the new packaging! (Not really a MAC fan/follower)
I borrowed Dainty from a friend, and though the colour is seriously gorgeous, I've since then learned that lighter pinks don't really suit my skintone, hah.

  13. This one is freaking pretty! I can see this working beautifully on light to dark skintones, love the peachy pink coral tone to this! I recently picked up two shades of this blush from the airport and I'm loving them!

  14. I kind of like the new packaging. The price increase? Not so much. But this looks so gorgeous and smooth! Their mineralize blushes don't get on with my skin though ):

  17. I almost purchase it last week, I also hate their increase and the new stuff isn't even amazing

  18. Ugh, I had the new packaging for these blushes and the MSFs. So ugly. Plus the OCD part of me wants all my packaging to match, and the new stuff won't match my older stuff. Grr.
