Normal/Oily Skin Routine + Review with Pond's

Disclaimer: This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with PONDS® and Latina Bloggers Connect.

The original Pond's Cold Cream is a product that I am sure most people are familiar with and have used at some point in their lives. When I was contacted to collaborate with Pond's, I had no idea how much their skin care range had expanded. They now offer several facial moisturizers that suit a variety of skin types. I chose to try the Bio-Hydratante Hydration Cream because it is targeted towards oily skin.

Let's address the elephant in the room first. This tub is huge. Huge! When I received it I was genuinely in shock. It is just as large as a three-wick candle! The Bio-Hydratante cream comes with a whopping 14 ounces of product. Using this took a little bit of getting used to because it comes in a tub (which is not my preferred packaging for moisturizers) and it's so large! I kept scooping too much product the first few times but then I adjusted. Even so, I could see this lasting me at least an entire year.

The Bio-Hydratante moisturizer has cotton extract and is labelled for normal to oily skin. It's also hypoallergenic. My experience with it has been very positive. It absorbs really quickly into the skin and doesn't leave a greasy residue. The consistency is very thin, almost gel-like. This is definitely a good one for oily skin and humid weather. I wouldn't recommend it for combination skin because it will not do enough for your dry patches.

As part of my routine I also cleanse the skin and remove my makeup using the Pond's Makeup Removing Towelettes. You can visit Pond's at Walmart for behind-the-scenes beauty tips from the Rockettes and to see how they use POND'S to achieve glowing, flawless skin.

  4. I've heard good things about ponds products but not really seen it in stores or anywhere. The size of this really means you get loads for your money. I like creams that are light and gel-like consistency as it doesn't give that greasy texture which really bugs me.

Thank you for the review, I hope you have a good day~ ♥

  7. I don't have oily skin, but I hate greasy lotion regardless. This is my VERY favorite face moisturizer because it sinks in immediately & doesn't annoy me for an hour. Sometimes I even use it on my hands because I hate greasy lotion so much. I haven't been able to find a full-size in stores though! I have the baby travel-size jar that I got a few months ago at a discount store, which is usually a bad sign. Has this one been discontinued in the states or am I just looking in the wrong places???
