Ruby Red Lips & Winged Liner

Classic red lips and winged liner. To be honest, I don't wear that combination much. Not because I have anything against it, but because I own way too many eyeshadows and colorful products to afford not to experiment with them regularly. I did like how this turned out and it gets done pretty quickly. Plus, I used a lipstick I hadn't used in a really long time which is MAC Ruby Woo. This color is a cult classic and it's very beautiful but the formula feels quite dry. I hadn't used it in a while and I guess I had forgotten but I had to tug at my lips to apply this. I love the retro matte finish but I'd rather work this something like NARS Dragon Girl which is creamy, easy to apply, and achieves the same effect.

  1. Still, the lipstick looks fantastic on you. I've been lusting after Ruby Woo for such a long time I may have a cheeky look at their duty free counter next week xx

  15. This love classic combo on you! I'm the same way. I love eyeshadows so much that I almost always wear them instead of a bold red lip with liner, but it's such a classic look that always looks great!

  16. I've always loved the combo of eyeliner and red lipstick! Ruby Woo suits you so well... I could never make it look as fabulous and I still need a lot of practise to make my eyeliner perfect. Great look, Coco!

  19. Love the retro feel of this look! I don't own Ruby Woo, believe it or not, but I'm sure that will change at some point ;) My fave reds to go with winged liner are NARS Heatwave, MAC Ladybug, or Illamasqua Maneater :)

  20. Ooooo this looks gorgeous on you! It's definitely classic but also isn't a look I sport often. I rarely wear red lips although I do look a full on deep blue toned fuchsia! I love your brows, they look perfect to me!

  22. haha, this is my everyday look with some neutral eyeshadow, but i just find it works best for me and i feel most comfortable like that. but yes, ruby woo is such a dry formula, it's a fantastic shade though so either it's worth it to you to work with it or it's not i suppose. and i completely understand why it's not for some people.

  25. What a wonderful makeup look :)
    This is usually my go to makeup look when I´m in a hurry :)
    I have to put an eyeshadow on though cause I have oily lids so me putting liner on to my bare lids is a no no :) I usually wear something soft like beige or a soft pink or maybe champagne :)
    My absolute favorite red lipstick to wear with this type of look has to be.. ugh I can´t choose just one.. I usually go for:
    * Avon Very Berry (a wine red)
    * MAC Viva Glam 1
    or
    * Collection2000 Red Red (a bright true red)
    My mum has always worn red lipstick and I just think it looks amazing on her :)
    xx
