Face of the Day: Drugstore 5 Minute Makeup

I seem to be getting slower and slower at doing makeup as time goes by. I am genuinely astounded at what people can accomplish in their 5 Minute Makeup challenge videos. I think my brows alone take me 4 minutes so I cannot fathom how I could possibly get any type of eye makeup (or full face routine) done in that amount of time. I posted a five minute makeup look before but at least I was able to put some eyeshadow on back then. This was as much as I could get done. I'm happy with it, I guess, it gets me out the door.

Necklace and bracelets are DIYs. If you'd like a tutorial on how to make them, let me know.

And that's pretty much all I was able to get done in five minutes. It's a very natural "no makeup" makeup look. What are you usually able to achieve in five minutes? Are you able to put on more makeup than this?

  1. Such a natural and summerish look i love it!

  2. This is sucha cute look, I love that you can see your freckles!

  3. I have no idea how people do it either, the most I could fit in 5 mins would be some concealer under my eyes set with powder, curled lashes and mascara and semi-decent brows xD
That being said, I like taking my time to do my make up and I much prefer going bare faced than messing my face 'cause I'm in a rush.

Your skin is looking great, btw!

    1. Hahaha, agreed! I'm a slowpoke and rushing usually leads to mistakes.
      Thank you, Nesita!

  4. Gorgeous! Btw, your freckles are sooo beautiful! I have come to appreciate going with less or no liquid foundation and just using foundation powder. For my 5 min face I'd use a brow powder, foundation powder, mascara, blush and a clear lip balm!

    1. Thank you! I wish they were real, lol.

  5. I'm impressed, it looks really nice! I don't think I'll ever be able to do a 5 minute makeup look, I take so long to do everything because I'm such a perfectionist!

  6. Love the natural look! It's nice seeing skin look like skin. Beautiful!

  7. such a gorgeous look ! love how fresh your skin looks !

  8. Lovely! Super natural and glowing. I personally cannot get ready in 5 minutes - I think foundation alone takes me that amount of time since I blend so thoroughly.

  9. Gorgeous! I find eye shadow takes the longest for me, base and blending and all that jazz!

    1. It does. Winged liner can get done surprisingly quicker than eyeshadow

  10. So fresh and pretty! Love how you used Unapologetic as a stain- I'll have to give that a try! xo

  11. This is pretty much exactly what I'll do if I'm just going to the shops with my boyfriend on the weekend, in fact it's all I did today. As much as I love trying different products and putt on my makeup in the mornings, when you just don't have time or can't be bothered, all I need is brows, lips, mascara and a bit of concealer and it does the trick.

  14. Its true that the most simple things are the most beautiful! I love how simple but gorgeous this look looks (look looks? it sounds weird but you know what I mean haha)
and your skin looks great girl!! (knock on the woods haha)
