Hello, beauties! Here is my second Valentine’s day makeup look and it’s actually an Anti-Valentine’s Look. I was thinking, what is the total opposite of the typical, romantic purple/pink makeup that everyone does (including myself) around this time of year? My first thought was: navy blue eyeshadow! But then somehow I ended up doing an olive green smokey eye. I did film a video tutorial for this look but there was just no way I could have edited and uploaded it on time so I’ll let you know when it goes up later on (probably within a week or two). Either way, I think you should wear any type of makeup whenever you want so, really, these are just regular makeup looks with Valentine’s or Anti-Valentine’s titles slapped on. Enjoy!
When I do upload the video tutorial you will be able to see in more detail the placement of the eyeshadows but the stars of this look are: the limited edition Maybelline Color Tattoo in Mossy Green as a base, MAC Sumptuous Olive Eyeshadow on the middle lid, the Urban Decay Cobra Eyeshadow (from their limited edition Black Palette) on the outer corners, and Make Up For Ever #47 Eyeshadow on the crease.
The entire selection of products used for this makeup look was:
Primer: Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer
Foundation: NARS Sheer Glow in Punjab
Contour: MAC Sculpting Cream in Pure Sculpture (Limited Edition) + Sleek Contour Kit in Medium*
Highlight: MAC Sculpting Cream in Accentuate (Limited Edition) + Sleek Contour Kit in Medium*

Setting Spray: Mary Kay by Skindinavia Finishing Spray*
Lipstick: MAC Velvet Teddy
Phew! Clearly this is not an everyday look (at least not for me) so there were a lot of products involved. I thoroughly enjoy getting ready for nighttime events so this look was so fun to create. I’m loving Sumptuous Olive from MAC so much! Even if you’re wary of wearing colors on the eyes you should still give it a try. Since it’s a frosty olive green, it’s almost a gold so it’s much less intimidating.
* The Mary Kay Finishing Spray was sent to me ages ago as a PR sample. The Sleek Contour Kit was gifted to me by the awesome Latasha. Everything else I purchased myself.
