Barry M 158 Coral Blush Lipstick
158 Coral Blush is my first (and only) Barry M lipstick. I got it from my swap with Sandra. It’s a fun, bright colored lipstick. The purple packaging is adorable as well. I can’t wait to try more Barry M lip products in the future.
When I first removed the cap and saw the lipstick I thought it looked like MAC’s Impassioned which is why I swatched them side by side. 158 is a vibrant pink. I wouldn’t call it a fuchsia because it’s not blue toned. The color is more like a flamingo pink.
It’s very bright but still sheer. Your natural lip texture shows through. This means it doesn’t hide uneven lip pigmentation. It’s much more wearable than Impassioned.
As expected with such a bright color, it lasts really long. It actually leaves a very stubborn stain just like Impassioned. I swatched these on my arm in the morning, washed them off with soap twice, and they were still visible at night.
I initially thought Barry M 158 was a dupe for MAC Impassioned but after comparing them I don’t think they are. 158 is like Impassioned’s wearable sister (because it’s sheerer and doesn’t look so bold.) Impassioned has a deeper watermelon color, 158 is lighter. Their differences are more apparent on the lips:
Bottom line: Barry M’s 158 is a gorgeous pink. I love bright colors like this and I recommend it if you don’t have anything like it already. It lasts a long time and leaves a stain afterwards so you don’t have to worry about touch ups.
