Becca Mineral Blush in Wild Honey
Hello, lovelies! I hope you’re having a good Sunday. The blush I’m reviewing today is one I want to recommend to everyone. I got this on a whim after seeing a swatch here (on the blog Fairy Tales and Coffee, she loves BECCA Mineral Blushes. I trust her opinions so I knew it was something worth checking out.) This cute UFO lived up to all my expecations. The color might be a tad too warm for some but I like the sun-kissed glow it gives me. Here’s what I think of the product…
Wild Honey seems to me like a burnt peach. Actually, it’s really similar to MAC’s Warm Soul Mineralize Blush which I reviewed very recently. Wild Honey seems to be a more pigmented, less shimmery version of Warm Soul. Those are fantastic news because I mentioned in my review that I found Warm Soul a bit sheer and had a hard time getting it to show up on me.
Wild Honey is luxuriously soft and nicely pigmented. It’s a mineral blush so it that “crumbly” texture and a tendency to kick up a lot of powder when you dip your brush in it. That’s a problem I can easily overlook because it lasts long on my cheeks and blends flawlessly.
I am most definitely going to get more of these flying saucer blushes. Beautiful texture and pleasant application! Blending was pretty fool-proof with Wild Honey. I had been using Warm Soul a lot lately but this is going to replace it simply because it’s more pigmented. Warm Soul takes twice as long to apply because I need to layer it. The drawback is, of course, that Becca blushes are very expensive. They don’t contain parabens, dyes, alcohol, talc, oil or fragrance. They also have vitamin A, C, and E. I highly recommend waiting for sales in order to treat yourself to items like this one. I got Wild Honey for 15% off. I also recently got a BECCA foundation for $20 off (yes, you read correctly). There’s no need to pay full price for high-end items, you just need a little patience 🙂 (Sorry for that random tangent at the end.)
