Cactus and Chai: Makeup Look
Here’s another makeup look I found from when I visited my sister in Seattle. I did some shopping and touristing that day so the look is very minimal. I skipped the eyeliner because I simply couldn’t be bothered. Actually, I’ve been going out sans eyeliner for about two months now. I’m sure the next time I try to wear it I’ll have totally forgotten how to make a straight wing. Anyhow, I used some eyeshadows from Coastal Scents and along with the first NARS product I ever bought, their Cactus Flower cream blush. Here’s how my face turned out…
1. MAC Studio Fix+ in C4 2. NARS Cactus Flower Cream Blush 3. MAC Naked Lunch Eyeshadow (inner corners) 4. MAC Twinks Eyeshadow (outer corners) 5. Coastal Scents Chai Spice Eyeshadow (lid) 6. MAC Orb Eyeshadow (browbone) 7. Milani ShadowEyez Eyeshadow Stick in Cafe au Lait (base) 8. Neutrogena Healthy Lengths Mascara 9. NYX HD Eyeshadow Primer 10. Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer 11. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab 12. Make Up For Ever 162 Eyeshadow (crease and lashline) 13. MAC Charcoal Brown Eyeshadow (brows)
Cactus Flower had been sitting in my drawer for ages so I took it on that trip to Seattle in order to get some use out of it. I ended up being reminded of why I purchased it in the first place. Isn’t it great to fall in love with products all over again? The texture is great and the color is very unique. It’s a poppy red with plenty micro gold glitter particles running through it. It looks very fresh and natural on the skin. I’m also wearing a little bit on the lips in the pictures above. I believe it has been discontinued, but you can still find it on Asos and Amazon and maybe even on eBay. I reviewed it way back when (during my second month of blogging). Here’s a link to the review in case you want some vintage The Beauty Milk, lol.
Funny how this turned into a nostalgic ode to Cactus Flower. Let me know what you think below! Have a great week!
