ColourPop Cosmetics Haul and Swatches
New makeup purchases are far and few between in this blog lately. Some time over a month ago I decided to treat myself to some makeup from ColourPop Cosmetics. They had just released a lot of new products (brow gels, new lipsticks, eyeliners) so there was a lot to choose from. By the way, they just had a site-wide 20% off sale yesterday *cries*. I wish I had gotten this post up earlier, but, oh well. Although, when I tried to visit their site yesterday I was placed in a queue because of the high traffic they were receiving. They might just extend the sale, who knows. Anyway, here’s what I got during my last purchase…
Edit: The sale has been extended until today (May 1st, 2016 9PM PST).
ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Maybe and Puppy ($5 each): I highly recommend trying ColourPop’s newly released eyeliners. They came out with a mesmerizing selection of colors in both pencil and jar formats. It was impossible to narrow down my purchase, but I ended up choosing a bright green and orange because I have been loving pairing a smokey eye with a pop of color on the waterline.
ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Coconut ($5): This eyeshadow had been on my wishlist for ages. It swatches beautifully and, trust me, it looks just as striking on the eyes. I love wearing this color. It definitely lived up to my expectations.
ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Mess Around ($6): The Ultra Satin formula is a great option for those who want a liquid lipstick with a softer formula (one that doesn’t dry 100% matte or accentuate lip texture). Mess Around is very pigmented and feels comfortable on the lips. It looks matte but is not completely transfer-proof (like matte liquid lipsticks).
ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Jellies ($6): I picked this color because I’ve been trying to buy Anastasia’s Paint for ages. It’s always out of stock at my local Macy’s so I decided to try this affordable alternative instead. Jellies does not have Paint’s metallic finish, but I was willing to overlook that. I will post a full review of this soon but I have already posted a lip swatch on my Instagram.
You will be seeing this products on upcoming makeup looks in the coming weeks. Let me know if you got anything from the ColourPop sale!
xx Coco
