Hello, beauties! Please excuse my hair in that picture. I had recently gotten out of the shower. Anyways, before getting to the review of the Cover Girl Divine Lipstick I wanted to let you know that I’m holding my first Blog Sale. I found that I had too many similar items in my collection. There’s some NARS, Illamasqua, Calvin Klein, NYX, and Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes in there. Click here to go to the blog sale if you’re interested. On to the review…
I’ve been looking for a bright purple lipstick for a while because I don’t own any. Divine is definitely purple, but it still has some pink/magenta undertones which is great because it’s still within my comfort zone in terms of color. It’s also very pigmented.
Divine feels thin and very emollient. It’s very comfortable and goes on very creamy. It reminds me of the NYX Round Lipsticks. If you find those too slippery for you then you might not like this.
As expected with such a vibrant color, Divine lasts a long time and leaves a persistent stain. The only negative thing I have to say about this lipstick (and it might be nit picky of me) is that the stain it leaves behind on my lips is pink (no hint of purple). When you reapply you notice the difference between the stain and the lipstick color.
I adore the color of this lipstick and I was pleasantly surprised with the formula. The only negative is that it stains pretty badly, I have to scrub the color off my lips. That has also happened to me with other bright lipsticks (like MAC’s Impassioned) so I don’t hold it against it.
