Hi, beauties! This makeup look was supposed to be the Valentine’s Nighttime Makeup Look but I didn’t have time to prepare the post in time. You can see my daytime Valentine’s makeup look here. I’m posting it as a regular Face of The Day instead. Here’s a breakdown of all the products I used to achieve this look:
Eyes: I applied my favorite eye primer (Too Faced Shadow Insurance) and used the Real Techniques Shading Brush to apply Wet’n’Wild Brulee eyeshadow (review) to the brow bone and the lid. I blended MAC’s Charcoal Brown eyeshadow into my crease using a MAC 217 brush. I also smudged a bit along my lower lashline. I highlighted my inner corner with Urban Decay’s Sin. Using Bourjois Liner Pinceau I created a winged line. I lined my waterline with MAC’s Chromagraphic Pencil in NC15/NW20 and added my favorite mascara (Tarina Tarantino’s Fleur de Lash Faceted).
Face: The foundation I chose was L’Oreal True Match Lumi in W4 (review). I used Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer in 53 to cover my blemishes and MAC’s Sculpting Cream in Accentuate (review) to highlight my undereyes and cheekbones. For blush I chose Illamasqua’s Rude (review) and I contoured my face with Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer.
Lips: My red lipstick of choice was NARS Mascate (swatch).
Changes to the site: I also wanted to address that during the past week I’ve made some changes to the blog. I changed the layout and header (no more triangles!). I know I had changed it recently but I am finally happy with how it looks. There are also two new options for browsing posts/reviews. There are dropdown menus in the sidebar where you can choose to browse by brand or by product type. I’ve also just started offering ad spaces in my blog. If you’re interested you can click on Advertise.
That’s all. 🙂 Have a nice week, lovelies!!
