Frosty Blue Makeup Look: FOTD with Coastal Scents
I feel like I keep talking about an upcoming roundup post of all my Coastal Scents eyeshadows but am nowhere nearer to actually posting it. I do apologize. There have been a few technical difficulties surrounding that post. First of all, some of the eyeshadows came with their old numbering instead of their new names. Secondly, I accidentally knocked over one of my eyeshadow palettes causing a few shades to shatter. I had already photographed and swatched them so it all turned into an inventorial clusterfuck. Regardless, here’s a frosty blue makeup look I created.
Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Coastal Scents Eyeshadow in Light Blue (inner corner)
MAC Moon’s Reflection Eyeshadow (outer bottom lash line)
Make Up For Ever Eyeshadow in #60 (outer corner)
MAC Chromagraphic Pencil nc15/nw20
Neutrogena Healthy Lengths Mascara*
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab
MAC Studio Fix+ Powder in C4
NARS Cactus Flower Blush
MAC Charcoal Brown Eyeshadow (brows)
Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya
I know most people cringe when they hear “blue” and “frosty” makeup, but I actually really liked how this turned out. The matte navy eyeshadow helped tone it down and it ended up looking shiny/wet instead of frosty. What’s your stance on wearing the color blue on the eyes?
