There are a few lipstick formulas which are seemingly perfect for work or school. The Glo Minerals Cream Glaze Lip Crayon is one of them. I love lip pencils. I’ve reviewed a few on this blog and will be comparing these to the NARS Satin Lip Pencils. They seem like the most obvious comparison considering how similar they are in concept and look. The Cream Glaze Crayon shades I will be showing you today are: Chiffon, Praline, Heirloom, Mimosa, Bloom, Dahlia, and Jetset.

First of all, let’s talk packaging. I immediately became excited when I received these because each pencil has a built-in jumbo sharpener on the cap. This is super convenient because you never have to worry about your pencil being dull and you don’t have to bring an extra pencil sharpener with you. I actually lost my beloved NARS Pencil Sharpener which can sharpen both jumbo pencils and regular ones. In the meantime I had been sharpening my regular pencils with a school sharpener (which is horrible because it’s meant for wooden lead pencils and totally destroys eyeliners). Consequently, my jumbo pencils had been in a permanent state of dullness. Not anymore though! Now I have seven jumbo sharpeners! 🙂
Moving on to the product itself… The Glo Minerals Cream Glaze Crayon formula is soft, emollient, and comfortable to wear. All of the colors are pigmented and they leave a stain behind after the initial layer of product has faded. They are not completely opaque and remind me of popular formulas such as the Revlon Lip Butters (and all their dupes) and NARS Satin Lip Pencils. They’re great everyday colors because they look more natural and fade flatteringly. I also recommend them for people who want to wear colorful lips without them looking too in-your-face. Although the Satin Lip Pencils are softer and butterier in texture, the Glo Minerals Cream Glaze Crayons don’t feather or smudge as easily.
Favorite colors: Chiffon and Bloom
Have you tried the Glo Minerals Cream Glaze Crayons? Or anything from Glo Minerals for that matter? Do you prefer wearing semi-opaque colors like this to work/school?
