Not Your Average Nude Lipstick: Kat Von D Bow N Arrow
Hello, world! Long time no see. Please excuse my blog’s possible (probable) funky look. I’m in the midst of a migration from the Blogger platform to WordPress. It’s been a long time coming, but it has definitely taken longer than I expected. There’s a lot of factors to consider when migrating your blog. Right now, I’m trying to work out some last kinks with the theme. I apologize if your browsing experience isn’t the best right now. I’m getting there! In the meantime, I want to publish the last few posts that are left in my drafts folder. These were photographed quite a while ago. Regarding this review of the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow’N’Arrow… It was prepared before anti-vaxx gate. Objectively speaking, I love KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks. I’ve featured them on The Beauty Milk before. I think the formula for the product is fantastic. That said, and to be clear, I do not agree with her anti-vaccination views.
Kat Von D Bow N Arrow: A Review
I’ll get straight to the point, seeing as I have featured this formula before. Bow N Arrow is consistent with the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Shades I’ve tried so far. It’s true-to-color, very pigmented, long-wearing, and not overly drying. Some liquid lipstick formulas, particularly lighter shades and even sometimes Lolita from KVD’s own range, can look chalky or tend to accentuate lip lines. Bow N Arrow does not.
I know many people have reviewed Bow N Arrow before. It’s a very popular shade which also happens to be one of Nikki Tutorial’s favorite. I think she’s the first vlogger that made me want to try it. Nikki is much paler than I am. So I thought it would be useful to show you swatches of how Bow N Arrow looks like on a medium-tan warm skin tone. (For reference, I wear NC30 in MAC Foundations and Punjab for NARS.)
Final verdict?
Bow N Arrow is a great color! Less daring, more pink, and more “wearable” than Lolita. But it still has a neutral/cool (mauve?) undertone that sets it apart from the sea of nude lipsticks. It is said to be a near perfect dupe for Jeffery Starr’s Celebrity Skin.
Have a wonderful rest of the week! 😉 Let me know if you’ve tried Bow N Arrow yet. Are you a fan of the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks? Will you keep buying Kat Von D products in the future?
xx Coco
