MAC Nightmoth Lip Pencil
Somehow I got into the habit of posting a lot of makeup looks and FOTD’s in a row, which are my favorite types of posts, by the way, but it’s nice to mix it up. Several months ago I got one of the more popular vampy lip liner shades around, MAC’s Nightmoth. I haven’t used it as often as I would like (I’ve been on a nude lipstick kick) but I love it.
I think Nightmoth is one of the most versatile lip liners to pair with darker shades. I understand not wanting to get different variations of darker liners if vampy lipsticks are not shades you tend to wear often. If that’s the case then Nightmoth is a good one to pick up. It’s a very dark purple/berry shade that can work with black, burgundy, deep red, and deep purple lipsticks. It also looks very beautiful on its own. Since it’s such a dark color, feathering around the lip lines is more noticeable so a careful application is required (more careful than mine). Its creamy texture and smooth application surprised me the first time I used it. I was expecting a dark and pigmented color such as this one to be drier but there was zero tugging on the lips.
Verdict: Love it and it adds a lot to my makeup collection.
I hope you’re all having a great week! I’m almost done with finals. Good luck to everyone who is taking exams this week.
