The pigmentation of this eyeshadow is excellent. The finish is very metallic and has a lot of pale golden reflection. I’ve tried to find dupes for this color but haven’t found anything that is exactly like it yet. The lasting power is nice too. My only critique is that this eyeshadow is one of those that form a little tough film on the top with continued use. It’s something you can scrape off, although it doesn’t really affect the pigmentation or application so I leave it there (unlike the film that Sleek, Bourjois, and Tarte blushes form which makes it hard to get any product. Has anyone experienced that too? I swear I’m very hygienic with my makeup).

Ugh I hate it when products form that film on top… good to hear that it doesn't affect the performance of this shadow though! It's SUCH a pretty color you and, like you said, I could really see it looking gorgeous on loads of people 🙂

Nice Coco. Sumptuous Olive is such a cult favourite for MAC, it would definitely suite a lot of skin tones. I like how this shadow isn't overly green or gold, it's the perfect medium.

It reminds me of an olive green shade I have from Inglot! I can't remember the number.

I absolutely love Sumptuous Olive. It's probably the most versatile color in my kit. Paired with other greens, the green in SO really shines. Paired with browns, it really gets toned down. I used this on a shoot recently and my model was a redhead, and OMG. I feel like this color was made for redheads. (and brunettes too, obvs ;))

This shadow is so nice because I can see it being used in a variety of way (everyday, glammed up, smokey. etc…) but it's also just so unique without being too out there.
    Great pick!

I have a similar eyeshadow from Napoleon Perdis that I bought yeeeears ago but I have to say that Sumptuous Olive looks way nicer because of the gold sheen. 🙂
