MAC Twinks Eyeshadow Review + Makeup Look
One of my lifetime blog goals is to individually review, swatch, and create a makeup look with each individual shade in my MAC Pro Eyeshadow Palettes. Seeing as that collection grows more and more each year, the task is starting to look daunting. Anyhow, here’s a look at the color Twinks (Veluxe Pearl). I buy all of my eyeshadows in refill pans (when possible) so I can save myself the hassle of depotting. Not to mention that the refills cost $10 and the compacts $15. However If someone offers to buy me a MAC blush or eyeshadow as a gift, I’ll ask for the compact so that it can go towards Back to MAC. Hehe!
I had always heard fellow bloggers describe Twinks as a plummy brown. I really didn’t get that until I compared it to my other brown eyeshadows and saw that it was considerably redder and even had a slight purple undertone. Twinks is one of the good MAC eyeshadows: very pigmented, soft in texture, easy to blend, and long-wearing. I haven’t encountered much duds in the 20+ MAC eyeshadows that I own, but they do exist. Particularly when it comes to their Limited Edition releases.
I really like this eyeshadow. I bought it during the fall but still find myself reaching for it now. Let me know if you also own Twinks. What do you like to pair it with?
