Messy Smoky: Outfit and Makeup
Hello, lovelies!! Today I’m sharing a simple Outfit and Makeup of the Day. My outfit consists of a mustard cropped top from Urban Outfitters and a black maxi skirt from Forever 21. The look was kept “grunge-y” in the sense that there are no peach or pink colors on my face and the hair and makeup are quite messy. My makeup consists of a black smoky eye paired with messy, bedhead waves. More pictures of my outfit, makeup, and products I used keep after the cut.
OUTFIT: I would typically accessorize this outfit a bit more. It’s on the simple side. However my jewelry is currently stored away because I’m in the middle of moving. My feet don’t show but I was wearing black jelly flats.
FACE: My brushes are also stored away (and dirty!) so I went for a fuss-free foundation that would apply easily with my fingers (BECCA Luminous Skin Colour). It’s a very sheer foundation so I concealed heavily using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer. The Luminous Skin Colour is a bit dewy so I set it with Paul & Joe’s Pressed Face Powder. I went for a barely there cheek color that wouldn’t compete with the eyes. I also contoured my cheeks and temples.
EYES: I used the Wet’n’Wild Comfort Zone Palette and Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill #13 to achieve my dark smoky eye. I got the black GA Eyes To Kill in a blog sale recently. I bought it quite impulsively because it was discounted. Thankfully it’s an amazing black. Very very pigmented. On my lashes I used Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme (which I bought after seeing it on Lau‘s blog).
LIPS: Again, I didn’t want to call attention to anything else expect the eyes so I went for a nude lip. I used the Tarte Matte Lip Tint in Exposed (review) and layered a lip gloss on top. Exposed isn’t as nude as it looks in the picture. The lip gloss was the one that really muted out the color, it’s quite milky and pigmented.
