Here are my most used face products (including brushes). I use all of these at least 3 times a week. I didn’t include blushes because I will make a separate post on them.
MAC Pro Longwear Foundation – NC30: This foundation is the closest I’ve ever come to my natural skin tone. It’s my best match. A definite go-to for long days. This wears on me for over 10 hours without a setting powder. It probably wears longer but I always take it off before it starts to fade.
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation – Stromboli: I love the finish and the formula, but it’s not my perfect color match. Stromboli is very olive toned, something less “green” and more yellow would suit me better. I can still pull it off if I blend it well and use it in moderation. I would get it in a different shade for sure!
MAC Studio Fix Powder – C4: I’ve had this for over 2 years and still haven’t finished it. (Fun fact: It was the first MAC product I ever bought.) Definitely worth the money! It has a lot of product. It’s also very pigmented and finely milled, so I don’t need to use a lot.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer: This is also an “oldie.” I’ve had it for over a year now and still haven’t hit pan. It’s the only powder bronzer I use. I love it so much that I don’t feel the need to look for a different one. It’s matte so you can contour or darken your face and still look natural. Also, it smells delicious!
MAC 168: The perfect contour blush. It literally makes the perfect line and blends it at the same time. It’s super soft. I sometimes use it for blush or highlight but mostly for contouring.
Real Techniques Blush Brush: This brush is amazingly soft. It’s not very dense so it’s great for very pigmented blushes. It applies and blends blush like a dream.
Real Techniques Powder Blush: Again, super soft. Great for powder because it’s huge and gets the job done quickly. Since it’s so fluffy I also use it to press on powder instead of swiping which helps not to disturb foundation. I also use it to blend out blush when I’ve gone a bit heavy handed.
Real Techniques Buffing Brush: This is my favorite foundation brush! It does all the work for you. It really deserves all the raves.
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush: I got this one before the buffing brush so I used to use it for foundation. It did the job well, but it required much more effort to blend since it’s denser and smaller. I’ve found other uses for it now: applying contour, blending concealer, and applying highlighters.
P.S. For some reason I forgot to include my favorite concealer, Revlon PhotoReady. I love it, but I’m looking for something thinner for under my eyes. Some concealer suggestions would be great!
