Hazy Galaxy: Natasha Denona Mini Lila Eyeshadow Palette

Natasha Denona Mini Lila Eyeshadow Palette, $25
The beauty industry seems to be raving about Natasha Denona’s eyeshadow formula and has been ever since its launch. I’ve been reluctant to try Natasha Denona eyeshadows because they’re so darn expensive. I enjoy splurging on high-end makeup items when it seems justified. However, with so many incredible eyeshadow formulas in the market, why should I shell out so much money on these? So, I picked up the Natasha Denona Mini Lila Eyeshadow Palette at Sephora for $25, which is still a lot considering how small it is.

What is the Natasha Denona eyeshadow formula like?
Unsurprisingly, I was very impressed with the Natasha Denona eyeshadow formula. It’s incredibly rich and saturated. The powders almost feel creamy, even Poison Berry which looks powdery when swatched on my arm. They go on easily and blend well on the eyes. Blue Dahlia is such a stunning color. If I’m honest, it’s the reason I bought the palette and it did not disappoint. In general, they are also very long-wearing.

Is it worth the money?
I don’t think so. Don’t get me wrong, they’re very good. Rich, pigmented, and long-wearing. But it’s 2019! There are many other high-performing, colorful eyeshadows in the market at lower (and much lower) price points. Would I buy any more Natasha Denona eyeshadows in the future? Probably not. I’d rather focus on growing my collection and filling any gaps in terms of color and finish. Yes, quality over quantity. But there’s plenty of quality eyeshadows in the market at a more accessible price point. I realize that those Natasha Denona palettes that cost over a hundred dollars come with a bunch of eyeshadows. But you can get large, high-quality palettes from other brands.
What are your thoughts on the Natasha Denona eyeshadow formula? Are you a huge fan of the products?
xx Coco
