For today’s post I was asked by #WalgreensBeauty and #CollectiveBias to create a summer beauty makeup tutorial. I assumed most people would go for nude/neutral eyes and a bold lip (maybe orange or fuchsia lipstick). Typically, I would too. It’s a look that is quick, easy, and pretty. However, I wanted to go a different route this time around. I focused the color on the eyes and left the lips nude. You can wear this makeup look anytime, but it would be great for nighttime summer outings. All the products used in this makeup look are from affordable drugstore brands found at Walgreens.

1. Use the L’Oreal Magic Lumi Primer as a base for your foundation, or in this case your BB Cream. 2. Cover any redness with the L’Oreal Magic BB Cream. If you need additional concealing, use your favorite concealer. 3. Before setting with powder, apply your cream blush. Cream products don’t blend well over powder. 4. Set your makeup, particularly your t-zone and oily areas, with a translucent face powder. I used the Studio 35 Beauty powder blush to apply mine. 5. Use your favorite eyeshadow primer to prime your eyes. 6. Using the medium brown from the Wet’n’Wild Walking the Red Carpet Palette, create a guideline on your crease. You will not apply blue eyeshadow above this. 7. Using a small eyeshadow brush, pat the Milani Bella Eyes Bella Navy all over the lid. 8. Apply Bella Gold to the inner corners. 9. Line your waterline with a navy eyeliner. 10. Tightline and smudge black cream eyeshadow along the lash lines. 11. Apply your favorite mascara. 12. Set your brows with a clear mascara to keep them in place. 13. Line your lips with a spicy nude lip liner. 14. Go over the lip liner with a matte nude lipstick.

This is a great look for a nighttime summer outing because the BB Cream won’t feel heavy on your skin the same way a foundation would. Also, using lip liner underneath your lipstick will help extend the wear of the color. A matte lipstick will resist transferring better than any other finish.
What do you think? Have you tried any Studio 35 Beauty brushes? Also, the displays for the Milani Bella Eyes Eyeshadows are popping up everywhere. I definitely suggest you try them!
